Something to ponder:

Does having more self esteem cause a person to have a positive additude, or does have a positive additude give a person more self esteem? I think that having self esteem gives a person a positive additude. If someone feels good about themselves, their mental additude and perspective on life is going to be better. Bad things that happen won't seem as bad. Having a positive outlook on life doesn't exactly give you more self esteem. Sure, you are glad that you can have such a great perspective, but I do not see how else a positive additude could bring someone self esteem. I have to say that both self esteem and a positive additude compliment eachother, and work together. But I feel that self esteem is what you need first. You have to feel good about yourself, before you can feel good about anything else. What do you think?

i think yer absolutely right. if yer self esteem is crap.. you will most assuredly have a bad attitude. about yeself, about others, and about the world around you. attitude is a state of mind, and if yer state of mind is in a low position because of the veiw you have of yerself.. how can you possibly see anything else in a positive light?

self esteem pertains to how you look at yourself, and how you accept the things happening around you... therefore, whether you have a positive or negative attitude on things, it does not change your self esteem... remember that sometimes, we have this bad attitude only because we try to protect our own being...
