"Now last year during Idol Gives Back we didn't send anyone home... and now we say goodbye to Michael Johns"
Low blow. I wanted to punch the television.
Do you think that was appropriate of Ryan to say on television just before announcing that Michael Johns is voted off? It gave him a tiny boost of hope that he'd be kept on for another week. And then they just said goodbye to him like that.

I know I was really upset myself. It was his first time being at the bottom. I thought sure it would have been one of the 2 girls. Micheal sung so much better then both of them did on Tuesday night. Yeah I remember last year no one got voted off during Idol Gives Back.

He was so good, I am sure he will do good on his own. I can't believe he was the one voted off though.

Well, this is going to show almost it is becoming a horrible Music contest, and some people do not get certain types of music. Honestly to me, he was not the Worst by no means, and I am 100% sure we have not seen the last of Michael Johns. I am truly wishing him the best.

Yes it was pretty misleading as I thought it meant they would not send anyone home just as they did last year.

It definitely was a "low blow" as you say...but that is how the show has always been. It is not the first time they have done something like that- you can be certainly sure it will not be the last.

Truth be told...when I found out in Yahoo! that Michael was voted off, I didn't attempt to watch the telecast anymore. Michael Johns is one of my favorite idols, and knowing he was sent home was a bit hurting for me. I think he's not deserving to leave just yet.

I absolutely cannot believe what has happened with this!! :-O I swear I have no faith in our youth's ability to spot talent lol
... and Ryan was just doing what he was told. He has a job to do - and sometimes that is to accelerate the viewer's heartbeats hehe.. bring attention to the show, etc
