Chinese Paralympic athlete Jing Jing exhibited as the third torchbearer in the fifth leg of the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay, which kicked off at the Effec tower in Paries, France at 12:30 in April 6. The 27-year-old wheelchair user,Jing Jing,carried the torch along the Seine River, demostrated great valor when a "pro-Tibet" independence activist,attempting to disrupt and sabotage the torch reply, reached for her weelchair and lunged toward her. Without concern for her own safety, Jing didn her best to protect he flame.
