What food is always present whenever there's a special occassion that you celebrate? With our family, it's ice cream and cake. Even though it's not a birthday, those two are always present.

In my family, the cuppa coffee is standard for any occasion. We all take it with varying amounts of cream and sugar. It's a catastrophe if we don't have coffee in the house, and there is always coffee on the pot.

Hi there Crafty Corner! That's really great. In my family, most of us like coffee but there are some who don't care much. Thank you very much for your response.

Your very welcome. In our family, we even have favorite mugs, and give mugs as gifts.

I try and change up what we have but my hubby makes these great garlic mashed potatos that they are always requested by everyone we know so they always end up part of the activities.

Hi there subha! Yeah, almost everyone love sweets. Lobsters are really great too even though their kind of expensive. I think they're great especially on special occassions. Thank you very much for your response.

Most definitely the main island foods we usually eat like taro, chop suey, chicken, pork, poke (banana dish), salad called mayonnaise (potato, beetroot, peas, egg, mayo etc), fish, and for dessert pineapple pie, trifle, cake and ice-cream.

ICE CREAM of course. Easy to prepare. But when I was in the Philippines. The good old pansit is always on the VIP list. You cannot go wrong with it. I introduced pansit here in my new home and it was an instant hit to my new American family.
