Which Date is Your Pay Date?

Usually the companies here pay at the start of the month, just like most of the bills for us are due during the first/ second week of the month. However, for the company I am working with, it pays its staff on the 15th. I think I am so used to getting paid on the 1st and it seems like a long wait for till it gets to 15th. I keep staring at my calendar and my pay date is not there yet! What about you?

We get paid weekly on Thursdays. My husband gets paid on the 15th and last day of the month. Usually the wait between the 1st & 15th isn't too bad.

We used to get paid once a month for 9 months and then at the end of May we'd get a 3-month check to last the summer and than in September we'd go back to once a month, but now we get paid once a month anyway, even in the summer. Being retired is awesome. I recommend it to everybody, but it is good to have the kind of job and/or investment plan that will ensure that you get the same amount of money for not working as was paid when one was working. That is something everyone needs to plan for at a young age.

Yes the investment plan for retirement is really important and I think everyone should plan carefully for that! I had a taste of not working before and it makes me feel great, just do what I want to do all the time! Fabulous!

I get my salary paid on the 5th of every month and at the same time i will have to do all the payments. By the end of the 5th of every month i will have to pay my phone bills, internet bill, Electricity bill, House rent, Bank loans. Well i am used to it anyways and my previous job place they used to credit the salary on the 1st of every month which was really awesome.

What a coincidence! My pay date is also 15th every month. I remember Mylot also pays us before 15th every month. So perhaps this is a special date?

Every job I've had the pay date is different. Right now I'm paid every Friday. I had a job where I was paid every Thursday. Before that, I had a job where I was paid every other Thursday and one before that every other Friday. Only people with government checks get paid once a month in my area. My husband had a job where he was paid on the 1st and the 15th. If you get paid once a week on the same day, the months with 5 Thursdays or 5 Fridays are awesome! It's like an added paycheck. What if the 15th comes on a Holiday or a weekend, do you get paid early or late? We usually get paid early. Take care and the waiting is almost done.

We are paid by month here and that's why the waiting process seems so long to us. If the 15th is a holiday, then we would get paid early. I wish to be paid every Friday too, then every weekend could be a happy weekend!

Our paydate is every 10th and 25th of the month. Other incentives or some bonuses are separate, they usually give it between the 10th and 25th of the month.

that seems so hard waiting for 30 days before you could get your next salary.

My company pays me on the 5th of every month. This makes me comfortable for paying all the bills and my rent.

I work for a small company, there is basically less than ten people in our company. Since I started working there 9 months ago, the number of employees has played around a minimum of 3 people to a maximum of 5 people. Our pay date is on every other friday, every ten working days to be exact, so it doesn't actually fall on either the 15th or 30th of the month.

our payday is on the 15th and on the end of the month. so we receive our pay two times a week. but where i work, in a government agency, i'm not yet permanent and my status is contractual so i receive my pay like 2-3 days later than the 15th or 30th day. whereas the employees with permanent status receive their pays on time.

the company that i work for pays on the very last day of the month, which is kind of a pain because you really have to know how to budget your money. but i am lucky because my wage is not the only wage that is coming into the house.

Hello wondericequeen, My pay day is on 25th every month. I will settle my bills before the 10th every month. One of my previous companies pays us twice a month - salary is on 30th and the overtime clain is on 15th every month. I think that is good too as you won't go without money for the whole month :)
