What is cotton candy really made of?

Tell me please, what do they mix with the sugar to make it all stringy and wonderful?

Nothing is mixed with it. It is the way the machine spinns the grains of sugar that makes it stringy and fluffy. I used to make it when I worked at Walmart about 8yrs ago.

Really? Just sugar? MMMM MMMM I love the stuff! Really bad for my teeth, but I love it at least once a month. Thanks for that information. I didn't know at all.
