I've already sent two used cell phones to the site I talked about a few weeks ago that uses them to give our soldiers calling cards and today I heard about another way of getting rid of old cell phones where you will be helping people. It's called www.gooddeedfoundation.org/aarp and most of the phones are sold with the proceeds going to programs that help women and children escape poverty or to support climate change. Some go to older adults so they can make 911 calls. You will be given a postage paid envelope or a collection box to send the phone to them and you will have done your good deed for the day....

That is a really fantastic idea, i am assuming you are in the US tho, I am in the UK and i dont know of anything like that in operation here, we do have recycling centers for used mobile phones but its not for any good causes.
A fab idea and well done to all who help

Good question! Yes, I am in the US but I'm going to check on this. I don't see why they wouldn't allow people in the UK to do it also if they wanted to.

I just read where Mexico and Canada can participate and I emailed them to see if the UK can also.
