Chicken recipes?

I'm looking to add to my chicken recipes. I've learned how to make a stuffed chicken, chicken soup, roasted chicken, and chicken fajitas. Are there some very delicious chicken recipes out there?

Yes, allrecipes.com is a good place to find a recipe. I don't know how many I've used from there. I've gotten two thumbs up for all of them. Anytime, I need to find something different, I just look on there, and I'll find one or several.

Yeah...I've been on allrecipes.com and was able to come away from a few good recipes. But sometimes someone out there has a superior recipe that they have had excellent results with. I would love to get ahold of some of those recipes. Any 'old family recipes' you want to share?

Well here are a couple of easy ones for you using skinless, boneless chicken b.reasts (I put the period in there so you don't get the mature tag). First one: Take a frying pan and spray with Pam (or other cooking spray) and then place the meat in there. Cook on medium heat turning as needed till it's cooked through. Now take any sort of shredded cheese and cover the meat with it. Let it melt and then serve. The cheese really adds a different flavor and it's so easy to do. Second one: Preheat oven to 350. Take a casserole pan and spray with Pam. Now place the meat in the bottom till pan is filled. Put over each section a slice of cheese (Provolone works great for this). Now take a box of Stove Top Stuffing (or whatever brand you like). Mix it up as directed but in a bowl with hot water instead of on the stove. Spoon it over the chicken and then cook for 30 minutes. Now this is optional, I prefer to put shake N bake on the chicken first but others don't. Either way works. This recipe also works great with pork chops.

You're welcome. I'm always looking for recipes that don't take a lot of prep time. Standing for too long kills my back so I try to find things that don't take long to do.

This sounds really good. Since we raise chickens for eggs and meat, I'm always looking to add to my chicken recipes so we don't have repeat stuff too often. Thank you!

Marinate chicken bre@st halves in Italian dressing (or olive oil and apple cider vinegar with some raw diced garlic and basil) for a couple of hours. Take it out, place it in a lightly buttered baking dish and sprinkle herb feta cheese on top. Stick springs of rosemary in the larger chunks to make them stay and bake "til the chicken gets a tan". If you're scared, just jab it with a fork :p. It's pretty good with an herb salad and steamed rice. Another good chicken meal is stuffed hens, cornish or regular. Clean it out of course, then open your fridge and stuff the thing with every veggie or tuber you find in there. Russet potatoes, cherry tomatoes, pineapples, apples, carrots, peas, green beans, black-eyed peas, you name it. Cook some rice, but instead of using water, use broth or juice, then stuff the rice in the chicken too (when it's done). Just cook it like you would a normal roast hen. We had those yesterday and it put my guys right to sleep, they were so full. You can even stuff them with other meats, though that seems unholy. Blessed Be

I've been on some of those recipe sites, and they are useful. Sometimes it's helpful if I can get good recipes from people who maybe had a family recipe that doesn't make it to these internet websites. Thanks for your input!

You can try our family's favorite dish, I don't know what's it called, but it's like chicken curry without the curry - instead we used cream of mushroom. I will go search for the exact recipe and I will tell you.

I cannot find the recipe for that -- I will ask my brother when he gets back, but I will share you another chicken recipe instead. I hope you will like this one, because we here in the family love it, too. Since I still cannot cut and paste, let me just type (good thing I put this one in my blog): Chicken with Green Peas You will need: cooking oil, crushed garlic, onions (cut for sauteeing), 1 whole chicken (cut into pieces), 3 tablespoons soy sauce, ground pepper (to season), 1/2 cup ketchup, 100 grams green peas. - Heat oil and saute garlic and onion, add the chicken pieces and season with soy sauce. Cover and let simmer. - If the chicken is watery, let it boil unter tender and liquid is reduced. If not, add 1/4 cup water. - When chicken is tender, add on ketchup. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until liquid is reduced. Stir in green peas and heat through three more minutes. Serve. Just remember that this dish lies on the ketchup you use. Be sure to use the right one. I used banana ketchup and it tasted good. Happy cooking!

If I have extra chicken leftover, I shred it and add it to a can or two of cream of chicken soup. (mixed with water like the soup can directs.) I add enough chicken so that the soup is really thick like a gravy. I add curry powder, salt and pepper. I serve that over rice. My son loves it. He would eat that everyday. I really like it too. We call it Chicked Curry. I store it in the fridge and make the rice separate. Sometimes we like to put the chicken mixture over toast instead.

hello there rebecca welcome to mylot. your discussion makes me hungry wink wink. heres a recipe that i enjoy doing because it is one of our favorites. boil chicken with half a cup of soy sauce, cup of water 4 tsp of sugar and 5 gloves of garlic. after boiling simmer it for 10 minutes then set aside. in a different pan, fry cube potatoes, and carrots then set aside saute garlic in butter (with a little oil so it wont burn) onions then add the chicken without the sauce. fry a little then pour 1 can of mushroom soup ( i use campbell) deluted in 1 can of evaporated milk bring it to a boil. simmer for 5 minutes then put the potatoes and carrots add salt and pepper to taste. simmer again for 5 minutes then add chopped bell pepper on top (optional) i hope you will try this recipe. goodluck

Today I bought a package of chicken and cooked it (boiled it in a pot of water). Meanwhile I also boiled a pot of penne pasta and drained it. When the chicken cooled, I shredded it and put in a big container along with the pasta. I added a jar of pesto sauce (Classico Basil Pesto 10 oz) and mixed it all together. I keep it in the fridge and when we want some we just take out enough to fill a bowl, heat in the microwave and sprinkle some shredded parmesean cheese and pepper on top. Yum! It's one of our favorites!
