Anyone addicted to the "writer's block" questions on livejournal?

I don't have writer's block. In fact, I have to pretty much force myself to stop writing. Yet anytime I log onto livejournal, I find myself staring at the "writer's block" question of the day, itching to answer it. Even the ones that are too emotionally fraught for me, or the ones where I know my answer is going to wind up being really weird. It's kind of annoying, but I find myself doing it anyway. Do you answer those questions, or even notice them?

I haven't been on there but now you have peaked my interest. I could pretty much write until my arm falls off but I'm intrigued by a good question and most of the time would feel the need to answer it. Great just what I need another writing website.

*laughs* I'm enjoying it more than blogger (where my poetry blog is) because livejournal has more of a community feel to it, but still functions as a blog. I've actually been a member there for years, but I stopped going for a while and just got started back. It's a neat idea for a blog/community site to have that, a question to get people thinking on days they might not have much to post about.

I have to give it a go! I like community feels. :) I have been tossing around some blogging sites and ideas. I don't care if people even read them, I just need to write as much as I can lately.

Apparently, no one does. There are people under this interest, but I'm not having much luck here. I suppose livejournal is an old site, and not as popular now as it used to be. It's okay, I haven't actually been around much lately. Thanks for turning me back on though! I wonder if some of my people magically got turned off too... I'll have to check!

Heh, it's an old favorite of mine. I don't do blogs very well, but I like the communities there.

I don't know anything about that site but as a writer and proud of it, I think I will go there from now on and answer the question. Thanks for the tip.

Hi, winterose! *nods* It's pretty neat. Reminds me of the practice we used to do in creative writing classes in school and such.

I am definitely addicted to the "writers block" questions. I check every day to see what the question is and answer it if it's one I'm interested in. I also like to answer some of the "unplugged questions".

I'm not really addicted. I answer it when I have absolutely nothing to post but feel like posting, and when I am interested with the question.

Hi lecanis, see you're still here. I took it one step further and wrote a book on the subject. Really, I haven't been on any writer's site on the planet where it doesn't show up. Looks like if you put any group of writers together, you get someone bringing up writer's block. I sympathize, but really, it's fixable. I just figured out that writer's block is part of the creative process. Have to feel sorry for these poor guys who think they're going nuts, though. I think if you answer at all, it has to be with a bit of patience. It's hard to steer someone who's got lost in their own head. All you can really do is try and help.

Good for you. I really want to learn how to write. And write good. Whenever I start to write or think of a topic, I get this writer's block and I don't get to finish what I write. My thoughts are so fast or my typing is so slow that I forget right away. Sometimes I get to read a good topic where I really can relate, but I don't know how to answer it. I think I'm a better speaker than a writer.

Hmm... never really go into live journal before. People are always asking about how to get out of writer's block. I guess it is a way to get the writing juices going. Cos when you get to start typing, and thinking, the brains get warmed up and the engine kicks in. Then the rest of the creative juices and writing will start to flow. Think of those topics as a stepping stone for those people to start their thought process. So go ahead, answer them. You never know, you may one day be doing the same thing and hope someone will do like wise to start your writing juices flowing!

I enjoy answering those and putting some of the answers in my blog. I think the last one I answered was "Where does the cheese go?" Many times if one of my LJ friends does a quiz from another site which can be posted on LJ, I'm tempted to do it myself.
