Do you get paid for rating members?

Hi, I started rating other members here on mylot to help them improve their star level and since then I noticed that my earnings were climbing much faster than in the previous months. Does anyone know if we get paid when we rate other members? Do you rate other members? Why or why not?

No-one really knows the answer but we should all be doing it anyway. It will help everyone to earn more. Everything you do on myLot is potentially increasing your earnings but that does not mean you get paid each time you do something.

Yep, nobody really knows the answer. We should definitely be doing it anyway. I just recently started making sure that I have done so every time that I respond to a Discussion. It has now started to become a habit with me. :) Yes, everything that we do on myLot has a potential chance of increasing our earnings, but we do not get paid every time. :)

Nope, we don't.. But we do get to help their ratings go up, we also get to learn from the discussions we participate at. The only one's we get paid for are through posting, uploading images and by referring friends/family members to join this site and sign under our referral links..

I see, well, I still think it's a good idea to rate members on mylot. Especially giving out good ratings to members! thanks for the info.

that would be a good idea. If anyone is knowledgeable about these things can you provide us with a list on what actions get paid and what actions do not? We would all appreciate it.

I rate of them but I don't know if we earn from it. That's a good way to earn more if they give us credit from rating members.

hey cool, i dint know that. lol. nice facility. i was wondering what were those signs... :) just got to know. i have a few more doubts. 1. how can i upload a picture as a display picture to my profile? 2. what is that star button shown near the profile name of the users? my first rating goes to anaknitatay himself for letting me know such a wonderful facility. Cheers to anaknitatay, Cheers to myLot...

I kinda forgot how you set a photo as a profile photo. I hope someone will answer you on this one... by the way, you also get paid for uploading photos to mylot especially if you add it to a discussion. The star button on your name is your over-all rating as a mylot member and depends on the amount of good or bad ratings that the other users give you. You will be able to get this after a minimum no. of posts (and am sorry but I also forgot how many - doh) :) thanks for the rating. you have one from me too. cheers to us all! :)

I don't know about the length as far as I know, five words or more should do the trick. Minimum payout is $10.00 you are paid 1 cent per post so if you were getting paid purely for your posts you'd need about a thousand. But then you can also earn by other ways...

I'm not sure if we do, but I wouldn't think that we would. I personally rate every new discussion starter that I respond to, and I also rate everyone who responds to my own discussions. I too have noticed my earnings have increased, but I think it's mostly because I turned on my notifications, that way I can respond to a good 30-50 discussions a day in a shorter period of time.

wow, I've never tried responding to that many discussions in any one time. Looks like you're fast heading for payout. :)

I've actually already made payout, just 2 days ago. I would probably have made it earlier, if I had turned my notifications on earlier!

yeh I think it is a good idea. Even if we didn't get paid it would still be a way members could help each other out.

I wonder if if we do get paid, do we only get paid for rating positively or if we do for negative ratings as well.

I don't think we get paid by rating other members. But I do rate other members here as thanking them for responding to my discussion. A rating will tell what is our reputation here.

...and thanks for the response . yes, I also do this to people responding to my discussion, it's the least I could do.
