Mastitis?

Just wondering if anyone has any information or experiences with mastitis??? It's been three months since I stopped breastfeeding (did it over 3 days was told it was way too quick). I didnt have sore nipples or cracked nipples whilst I was feeding but now I'm noticing a slight problem and just wondered how I could tell if it was related to mastitis or not???
