i'm so depressed now. i bought it only four months ago.i left it behind after i had lunch in a small restaurant.it was gone when i went back. it's the third cellphone i lost and it's very expensive.i love it very much. i know it's all because of my carelessness. but i am always trying so hard to overcome this shortcoming.the result of the effort is that i just still keep losing things. and people always blame me for it. that really makes me sad. i can't find excat word to describe my feeling now.

That's really annying - hope you didn't lose to many contacts or pictures or something like that, that can't be replaced. Hopefully you have insurance so you'll just get another one?

it happens to the best of us. just remember that next time, you don't leave anything like a cellphone lying around anywhere because thieves are always out there to pray upon your belongings. i would understand that people blame you for the things that you do because they are mostly right. how could something like that would happen if you did not leave your expesive and valuable cellphone lying around. sometimes you have to think like the thieves and see what they see. if i were a thieve, i would definitely steal something that is worth stealing. i would steal something expensive like your cellphone etc. at least this should give you experience and knowledge about thieves and about leaving your stuff unattended. don't be sad and get over it because there's nothing more you could do. think about the future and next time you should take care of your stuff.

oh Im so sorry to hear that. I know how it feels.I remember the time that I lost my cellphone. I think I dropped it on my way to school. And what really depressed me, is that my cellphone was 2 day old during that time. i bought it by saving my allowance in school... not eating during lunch, and avoiding going out with friends. I did taht for 3 months more or less... just to buy that cellphone. I know how you feel. But the best thing you can do today, is to remind yourself that it would be the last cellphone that you will be out of your hand because of your carelessness. I know how it feels, and I think there is no amount of words that would make you feel better. But there is nothing you can do about it. The only thing that you can do is strive not to do the same mistake again by being careless. People blame you for that, you know you cant blame them for feeling that way, as you have said it is the third time that it happens. Though I dont think it make you better... but I guess they too dont feel good about it. Just say sorry to your parents, if they are the one bought it for you... and remind yourself that this should not happen again. Cheer up!its not the end of the world.

I am very sorry to hear about what happened to you today. I know how bad it feels to have lost a cellphone (well of course, in your case, your third cellphone) for it also happened to me before. Someone stole my cellphone. Anyway, you have to be more careful next time. Be sure you always keep your cellphone where it can be safe. Do not place it on your table especially when you are in the restaurant as you may forget it later on. I hope that you will be able to save up for a new one and really take good care of it!

Well, every action has a lesson attached to it. I have lost 6-7 phones myself. But the fact is that everytime i have lost them, i have become more and more careful about my belongings(if not enough). So look at it on a brighter side, that you have a mindset now of looking out for it more than before. Im sure it would work out somehow and you would get a new and better phone sooner or later!

When some one blames us about the shortcomings we are facing we obviosult get hurt cause we expect a helping hand in such kind of situations. Sorry for both that you are blamed and lost your cell phone. find a way so that the next time you dont loose one more phone and get embarrased. Why not have a rope to your cell phone and hang it to your hand or to your neck like a necklace. That way you can always have it with you and stop worrying about loosing it. There are a lot of ways to keep your cellphone protected , i guess you will come up with some good idea and make sure you are not going to loose another.

It's okay Canteen. Don't feel so bad. What happened already happened. There is nothing you can do to get your cellphone back. Come on, it's just a cellphone. You can buy another one and better one next time. Well, carelessness is something that hard to overcome alright. I am too a careless person. But i never stop trying to overcome it too. I hope you won't stop either.. Keep the spirit on!! Cheer up...:)

Sometime things like that happen. You should be careful next time. Just try to buy a new one. But sometimes the information on that cellphone like phone numbers are the most important thing right?

Please make sure you call your provider and let them no the phone was stolen so they can shut it off so whoever the irresponsilbe person that took your phone instead of turning it in won't run up the bill.

Hi Canteen, Ohhh...that is so sad. I knew exactly how you feel because, I once lost a cellphone. It's a good thing that the unit is just cheap and it didn't hurt my pocket so much. But I still suffered a few days with no cellphone at all. It slipped off my pocket while riding in a tricycle. I'm sure the tricycle driver noticed it when I took off, but when I came back for it, he said he didn't seen it. It's understandable that you'll be sad but try to cheer up! You can do nothing anymore...it's gone. That's another lesson learned. I hope you'd be more careful the next time. It would be better if you avoid using cellphones in public places or put it around your neck so that it always stays with you. I hope you can save enough money soon so that you can replace your lost unit.

I am so sorry about your loss of cell phone. One thing that every one dislikes is blame.I know how you may feel,as even I had experienced it when I lose my things. Its very common. You cant meet a person who has never lost something due to his carelessness ! If you think that you are too careless,I think you can very easily over come it by taking a few simple precautions below. #Keep your cell phone in your bag or what ever place you keep usually, and take it out only for answering, and keep it back there. #Try to do a common check of all your things when you leave a place.I mean your cell phone, purse and keys and others if there is any which you carry normally.I think you would most probably carry only these three.

Sorry for that. By the way, in future be careful and try to keep your cellphone always with you, may be in your bag, pocket etc., so eve en if you forget about it, it will be with you all the time. And yes make it a habit to keep it in bag, pocket after use. Initially you will find it difficult to do this, but after a while it will be your habit. Best of Luck!!!!!!!!!

Hi canteen, I know how exactly how you feel.. i've also lost lost my 2 months old cellphone last year.. you know... worked hard for it... then somebody will ONLY steal it from you... First thing i did was go to the police and reported what happened (thanks to them no one has been already caught) then I proceed to the National Telecommunication Commission to have my SIM card and my phone's EMEI number be blocked, so that no one will be authorized to use my old SIM and my phone as well. Don't you worry because that feeling will subside sooner... If you want buy another unit to divert your mind.

I know how it feels for a lost cellphone no matter the price is. The third one that i lost my cellphone was intentionally, i know because when i call my number, the girl said it was her number and not mine. There are just people who doesn't know how to give it back. The other are really gone and i don't know where. But i'm so glad with the lost one. I have lost it in the province when i have my vacation and drop it somewhere in Bus. I already accept that i lost it when i try to call, the girl answer and ask where i am. I told them then i go to their place where they say. I'm so glad because they gave back my cellphone and as a reward, i give money to the little girl who found it. I hope there are more like her and her parents.

That's terrible. I think you should get a thing to keep your cell phone tied to so when you leave it leaves too. You've gone through quite a few cell phones. I recently had mine go out on me. I had it since August 2007 and in December I accidentally dropped it in the toilet. It actually made it through that and worked fine. A couple weeks back the screen completely went out. I could still use the phone but couldn't tell who I was calling and couldn't read my texts. I text a lot so it's important to be able to receive them. I went to walmart and bought a verizon prepaid phone took it to verizon and had them put it on my account. Now I use it like normal and it only cost me $40.

Hello, Canteen, I can feel what you are feeling at the moment. Once I was also a person who always lost things. I was cheated all my money when I just entered in the university and I lost my bag in which neally all my important belongings were in including my moneypocket,my radio,my books from library and my notebook, etc. I put my bag in the eatery and when I bought the food and came back my bag had gone. I cried and even felt despaired. I could not tell my family at the moment although finally my parents got to know it. But what shall we do? The experiences will teach you and for me now I lose things less and less. It is the positive side and try to accept it. And remember time is the best healer. As time goes by you will find it is not a bad thing because it helps you not lose more important things.
