I had my first date when I was 14...which was a good few years ago...but I can remeber it as though it were yesterday!!!! Oh the excitement!!!!...he wa in the sixth form..I was a year plus behind him. We were to go to the cinema..but the matinee perfomance...my father took me in his Morris traveller...and gave me the money for us both tov go into the pictures!!!!!...bless him .... I wore...wait for it.....a navy blue mini skirt...with a matching long waistcoat...and a blouse with ruffles at the collar and the end of each sleeve...stockings and dinky heeled shoes....oh dear.. He wore..a corduroy suit..in a flattering shade of beige...drainpipe trousers...and winklepicker...Oh he looked delicious!!!! We sat in the back row and continually pased fleeting glances throughout the picture...I was just dying for that first kiss!!!!!...but lol neither of us dared!!!!!.. What happened on your first date ???

Gosh I can't even remember my first date, although I blame that on my appalling memory as I'm not *that* old yet! I would make a guess that I was wearing leg warmers though. Sadly, I wore those quite allot back when they were the in thing so I'm bound to have worm them to impress. I had a thing for mismatches lumimous socks too. I'm soooooo embarrassed :-)

Hi Moo....now leg warmers and luminous socks sound very like the attire that my daughters used to wear!!!...they are in their 30s.... One of them wanted to be a punk!!!..oh Lord....she used to tie all her hair up on top of her head..in a wild sort of bun thing...she would never be conventional..lolol...she always wore these purple Doc Martin boots!!!!....

So three guesses on working out how old I am! Answers on a postcard accompanied by a £10 note please. I've always hankered after a pair of satin Doc Martens myself, but the practical part of me has always held me back. Wonder if they do them in purple satin? The pair I fancied were red.

hahahhaa..this is funny, bringing back funny memories! I remember, I was just in my uniform, with a very unorganized hair and it was like 5 pm! I wasn't able to prepare since, he just show up in my workplace! hahahaha! It was more on talking, sharing our likes/dislikes. We actually forget the time and just enjoy knowing each other since we were not really friends. Its fun and great!

My first ever date Ruby? Gosh, that would be shorts and a T shirt when I invited the little girl across the road to come and play in our sand pit. My Mum bought us out sandwiches and squash. We had a great time but we didn't kiss. Yuk. She was a GIRL. You don't kiss girls when you are four. Except your Mum and that horrid friend of hers with the hair that grows out of the mole on her chin that you want to yank out. You kow her, the one that always crushes you in her arm and says "Aren't you growing up to be a big boy". What does she think I'm doing for Pete's sake. Oh and Granny. Wonder what happened to that girl?

I have my hanky in my hand and am quietly sobbing that your prince didn't stop by and kiss those ruby (sorry about the pun) lips. I am sure that you have made up for it since. But to be on the safe side, go and demand a kiss right now from Mr Ruby. I had a Aunt Janet, not a real blood aunt, but married to my Godfather, but she was, to use a modern phrase "cool". She used to serve us cider with lunch when we went there. Boy did that make me feel grown up.

Oh you have just made me think of something!!!!...my kids always said that i was a cool Mum...eccentric..but cool....maybe because at the time our house was constantly full of marauding teenagers....who...and i know i was wrong..before you tell me....were allowed to have a ciggy in their bedroom!...but better i knew where they were...than worried all the time...

Well I was obviously a late starter...I cant even remember ever being four!!..but I do remember the playground games, which im sure added to my lifetime of insecurity and poor self esteem !!..There was I..lips pursed, awaiting the Prince...and he always by passed me....OK..I may have been a bit of a geek...but to be bypassed with such alaming regularity was gutting. The memories have scarred me to this very day :D..lol..I can clearly remember being tucked ..or thrust..under the armpit of a certain Aunty Janet...who was declaring how I was coming along nicely...but she had never heard of personal hygiene..it was a scary experience.
