There are 7 deadly sins, but are they all equally bad? Just for the record, in no specific order, here they are: 1. Envy 2. Glutony 3. Lust 4. Pride 5. Wrath 6. Sloth (sadness) 7. Greed I think it's pretty hard to choose, I guess wrath and greed are pretty severe because they most likely include hurting others. With the other sins this isn't neccesairily the case. This makes them worse in my opinion. Which one would you choose?

If pride and sadness are sins we are all in trouble. I'm sure everyone on this plaent has experinced sadness and I know some of you are "proud" Americans, well except for me who is a "proud Canadian" What's so wrong about pride or being sad? I've never heard of these two things to be sins, but thanks for waking me up....guess I better cheer-up and stop being so damn proud.

I think you are making a very good point there. I see nothing wrong in a little pride either, and all of us have known sad times. I guess they are only referring to the extremes of these things. Pride can be a virtue if you are secure and have a good sence of selfesteem, in my opinion. Also, the 7 sins are very old. I can imagine that in older times when most people were poor farmers and oppressed it was good to have them believe that pride is not a virtue...

That's my point about the bible too, look when it was written and who the people were back then. It just doesn't fit in today's society...neither does the constitution of the US...it all has to be rewritten for todays way of life, don't you think.

In my opinion Glutony would be worst at this point of time , as the wastelines of the world is balloning like never before it is causing a strain on the health care system as well as personally .Other sins were there from our existance but has not made such an epidemic out off itself . with regards http://wonderfulhealth.blogspot.com/

I appreciate you taking the time and effort for pointing this out and being so descriptive about your choice. You are right, obesity is taking over mayorly. At the time being there are more people overweight in the world than that there is hunger. It's a strange idea that having access to good food (and a lot) also opens the danger of a lot of snacks, easy food and overeating. I guess it's a very modern dissease. Also, there has been scientific research that seems to prove that less exercise is even a bigger problem. Off course bad and fat food also is a big cause, but being less active is the bigger problem (or so say these test-results). In my opinion I think both play a big part. Eating healthier and exercising more should be in balance. Thanks again for your post!

I think all of them are worse. If I a person is sad, he will make the other people around also sad. Envy brings destruction not only to the other people he envies, but also to himself. Greed will kill a person's life because he will think only about money and nothing in his life.
