Honestly, yes I have taken things from hotel. Usually, small things like pens and pencil. Do you count pencil/pens as things shouldn't be taken?

I dont know I mean they arent expensive to replace maybe along the same lines of the bottles of shampoo etc. I know some people though they think if its not bolted down its theirs to take which is really wrong

I have never and will never take things I shouldn't take from the hotel. I only take those that are supplied to us. I usually bring along the used body lotion, shampoo, shaver, comb and tooth brush. After I had used it, the hotel cleaners are going to throw it anyway. So in order not to waste it and also to more environmental friendly, I bring them home so I can still continue to use them.

I am not a frequent traveler and therefore do not stay in hotels very often. If I take anything at all, it is just the bottles of shampoo/conditioner, the bars of soap, etc., which are left out for the guests anyway. But do I ever take anything that would legally be considered stealing, no, I would never do something like that. There is never anything I would want to steal, and even if there was, I am deathly afraid of the consequences I might face, not to mention the fact that it is just wrong...

When I was young, a long time ago LOL, I traveled a lot. I spent mzny month traveling India, Pakistan and Nepal, I've seen quite a bit f South America, in Europe I've been to practically every country. Thing is, this was cheap traveling with a rucksack, hitch-hiking, and lots and lots of cheap hotels that didn't have anything in th room or toilet (if they had a toilet) to begin with. So there was nothing I could 'nick'. Now that I'm a 'mature' person, I don't travel anymore. My kids say that the spirit of adventure has left me, and they are right. Anyways, taking things from hotelrooms is one of the few temptations I don't suffer from.

I don't think considering the hotel pens and pencils, and the toiletries are things that you can't take on your stay. Because you paid for all of those, and it's part of your daily bill. Husband and I love going to hotels before, like we stay at a different one everytime. I always make sure I have their pens or pencils when we check out. The front desk receptionist even said it's ok to have it, and she gave us a better one actually! Now I have a stack of pens and pencils here. It's just so cute to see them all together, it's like a collection. Sometimes I take the toiletries too, depends if they smell good. I'm pertaining to soap and shampoos. We can even request for more at housekeeping department, they don't mind, it's paid anyway. It's like having a souvenir from your stay in that nice hotel, aside from the bill.

The only thin that i would take maybe is shampoo or foam bath....most hotels have wee bottles of this..which are generally quite good,,,, I wouldnt ever take anything more...like towels or a bath robe...mainly because i wouldnt feel right...and lol most of all because im sure they would find me out!!! But my sister stays in a lot of very good hotels...and in the past she has brought home some beautiful white towels!!!!...if i say to her...Oh ..no not again...she will say that as far as she is concerned she has paid for those towels with paying for her stay !!!!..Which i think is wrong!!!

I rarely take anything from hotel rooms, and when I do, it's just the bottle of shampoo. I keep these small bottles in my suitcase, because I have been to a hotel before that didn't have shampoo in the rooms. I like to have a little stock of my own, so I can wash my hair! Most places will go back and charge you if you pay with a credit card and they see something missing. That's how we usually pay, so I don't risk it. Really though, there's nothing I want from a hotel room anyways!
