Do all cats like certain foods, or do they like a varied diet?

My cats really seem to enjoy a varied diet, so I try to change the type of food each week when I go shopping. I buy the fish variety of pouches one week, then a chicken and duck selection another week, then the game and slightly more exotic selection another week. They do not like to change their dry biscuits though! They only seem to like the chicken biscuits by Whiskas. Does any one else's cat only like on particular flavour food, or do they refuse to eat a type of food? My in- laws' cat refuses to eat one particular flavour of cat food, and will even go hungry, rather than eat it!

my cats are the stick in the mud type.they want the same thing everytime(seafood) if i let them. but then they also beg for peas, mashed potatoes, soup and whatever the people are eating that smells inticeing.once in awhile it's ok,but not all the time.peas would probably be good for them.

My two get very fussy at times. I to, try to give them variety. They do have some favorites so I keep buying them. I give them people chicken when I cook it, my male cat only wants dark meat while my female takes anything she can get. They like cream cheese once in awhile, I don't give them it too often though. They love the Whiskas kitty milk.

Depends on the cat I guess. Our cats will eat just about anything. They don't like cheap food like Whisaks though.

Hi. My cat too. If I try to give the same food all the week she only eat a little bit and go away. Also she like the Whiskas food.

I too like to buy a variety for my cats. I have 6 cats and am buying a 18 pound bag of food every 10 days. I switch it up between Purina Cat Chow, Purina Indoor Cat Chow, 9 Lives, all the Whiskas varieties, and Meow Mix. I figure I would not want to eat the same thing day in and day out, so why not them variety. I also buy different flavors of cat treats for them, and always try to have a variety of canned food and soft food packets on hand. My cats love my for it! As special treats, they get ham, roast beef or turkey if we have sandwiches. My one cat, Boo, loves cheese as well. If we have chicken or steak, I often cut them up some for their treat bowls. Boo also loves ice cream, so if we have vanilla he gets his own bowl. The other 5 don't care for it as much. My cat Karloff will eat yogurt if I have any on hand too.
