It came as a shock to realise that we have been in our present house for 24 years! Out of a 34 year marriage that's how long we have been in this house. Most of our best memories are here. I can't see us moving evenm when the youngst has flown the nest.
How long is your tenure?
When I as a kid up to the age of 16 I'd lived at 20 different addrsses in UK and Canada.
What about you?

I have only lived in my present address for 3 years, well it will be 3 years in July. I think that in every place I have lived in, I have only ever been there for about 3 years or so. But where we are now is our first home that we own, so it is a bit different and a bit harder to just move, so I am thinking that we might be here a while longer yet!!

It is exactly one year this week since I moved into my present apartment. It only began to feel like home a few months back, but now I feel quite settled. I lived in an apartment in London for 16 years and that's the longest I lived anywhere since I leaving the house where I grew up.
I have had 9 different addresses so far.
I'm sure you do have wonderful memories, having lived in your hosue for 24 years. I hope you continue to enjoy living there for many more years.

We aren't in a position financially to own a house, so being renters, we have moved around a lot!
In March this year, we actually celebrated 12 whole months in the one house! A big achievement for us! Our landlord is very good and happy to have us here. They get their money, we get our home.
