Spending time with siblings

I've recently hit the big 4 0. I'm also an identical twin, but I don't spend as much time with my siblings as I use to. Do you find that the older you get you don't do the things you once did? Sure, I can't ride my bike to the corner store to get some candy with him but we don't do the fun things like before. Marriage and family take priority and that's supposed to be our responsibility but deep inside I want to tap into and capture that youth I so willingly let go of so many years ago. Anyone out there still hang with their sibs?

Yes.I still see my sister and brother often.We live so close to each other it's easy to spend time together.My brother just left our island to work on one of our family of islands, so him not to much lately.But i can understand where you're coming from.We do not do alot of the things we use to. As we grow and have families of our own our priorities do change it's just a fact of life.But it does not mean that you dont love them because you do.

True, I do still love him. It's just the fun things we use to do are gone.

Currently all 3 of my siblings are in different states. So it isn't an issue. I do talk to them weekly. But that is about it. I do the fun stuff with my hubby and daughter. I hang out more with my hubbys younger sister.

all of my siblings are married already, we leave not that close but in the same city. i have a brother who lives abroad. every christmas and new year we are all together celebrating it, though our brother who is living abroad is the only one who is not around. i am not that close to all my sibblings but i am civil with them. i am the eldest so i know they respect me too

I hang out with my siblings and love it... It seems that I and my sisters hang out more than I and my brothers... We sisters make time to go places and do things together and spend a lot of time talking and getting to know one another. One brother and I talk a lot when we get together, the other one does not talk as much but is better than he used to be...
It takes some planning to get people together to do activities... It is though worth the effort as the activities that you plan can be fun for everyone.
