What do you do to check out if something is a scam?

I normally try to search about it online and I do come here and see what people have said about it. I recently posted about the free $25 that we only have one day left to get and many were concerned about it being a scam. Many here have good things to say about it and are enjoying the free money. I have googled reviews and scams but have found none. I looked up the bank they use not on google but on dexonline to make sure that bank existed in Brookings. I want to assure people but not sure where else to look. For those wanting to get the $25 free the link is in my profile. What else can I do to check it out? What do you use to check out scams? I know none of us want to ever be scammed.

I get a bit frustrated about the use of the word 'scam'.
To m a scam is something hich takles money off you but doesn't give you back what it promised.
There are many 'free to join' sites on the internet like Mylot and Yuwie but they require some effort and perseverance to make them pay.
Some people cry 'scam' if they do not get rich quick, like overnight.
They should get a life instead.
The only drawback to the offer you are promoting is that it's only available in US.
This is not made clear either by the program or the thousands of pople trying to promote it.
Many people at these sites are not US citizens.

Well said
I too get annoyed by people saying a site never paid them therefore it is a scam - but they never even reached payout!

It is sad how people throw that scam term around. When I think of scams I think of people taking my money and more. I guess I don't think of it as a scam if I didn't reach the payout. Interesting point you make. Sorry about the US only thing I wish more sites delivered to all countries.

You are not telling it like it is really, you say sign up and get the money, that is not correct, you must sign up and ten give them your bank account or debit card numbers before they give you $25.00 it does not say that on their site till you fill out the forms. I know i did not get the $25.00 because I didn't give them the information. And it will not let me in since I did not give them the info. So make sure you let the people know that they are required to give them bank account statements and debit card numbers before they sign up. You told me there are 2 branches of this bank near you, I just don't think $25. is that important to give out all that info. And you pushing this hard, guess everyone that signs up you get paid for. Like I said you better hope it isn't a scam because all these people will come back on you too. if the money was free like they and you say you would not have to open an account with them to get it. It is not free with out the info they want. I hope this goes good for you, but if it dont't then I feel for you. I get coupons in the mail all the time for $100. free to open an account. All I have to do is open it doesn't say anything about depositing money first. In fact the $100. is the first deposit and there is no issues about taking it out. i hope these people realize you are making money off this too when they do this. I'm sorry i dont know you and this is just my opinion, but tell it like it is you must give them account numbers to get the $25.00.

People that got checks will have to explain how they did it. I used my bank account but only because I wanted it deposited into it. Others though got it through checks so I don't think they used their bank account but I don't know how they did it. Hopefully they will say what they did. Like I said before it is fine if you don't want to do it I understand. I am just trying to figure out other ways to check it out.

No, you don't have to give them any bank account information nor credit card numbers. So you are wrong there. The money is automatically deposted into the account, and you have to ACCEPT IT! After accepting your money, you can then go above to the little blue links that say withdraw money/funds (can't quite remember) and then choose whether you would like direct deposit (free) or check (2.50 fee). I chose check, and got my check of 22.50 within 5 days. So if you are going to tell people something, tell them the TRUTH. You just obviously didn't read the site very clearly.

I have been scammed before by some sites, so I am very leary of signing up for different things. I waited to see proof of payment before I signed up for that site.
I did get my $25 and cashed out, received and spent it already. I haven't seen anything posted about it that it is a scam and from personal experience realized that it wasn't.

spammers are common nowadays not only online but also offline. i judge them according to their offer. if they offer you a large easy money with no work to do that's a scam. if you heard feedback about the site from any members that the site didn't pay her/him, if you are here online for a couple of months or years you know already the sign of a scam site.
