i do all the time. but i have some ideas theat are simple ... It time for another hunt! We seem to have lost some shapes in the house and we know that toddlers are great at finding things! Print out the sheet of shapes and outlines. Cut the sheet in half (along the line). Then cut out the SOLID shapes only and hide/place them around the room with a little tape on the back. Now give your toddler the half-sheet with outlines and help her find the shapes and stick them on to the outlines! `````````````````````````````````````````````````` Here's a fun one that will help your toddler to recognize colors and body part names. Take a few colored sticky notes and put them all over your body ( arms, legs, feet, belly, head, ear, etc.) Then ask your toddler if she can get the blue note that's on your ear. Or ask her where the yellow note is. Or ask her what color note is on your leg. Or you can ask her to put the yellow note on your arm. These are all different ways to work with your toddler and help her learn, in a fun way!```````````````````````````````````````````````` Take the pieces from one your favorite puzzles and hide them in a room that you can darken. Then take a walk with your toddler and a flashlight and try to find all the pieces of the puzzle. As you find each one, try to put it in the puzzle. Then when you find the last piece complete the puzzle and celebrate ```````````````````````````````````````````````````` Take your travel wipes container and some of those great foam stickers. You can find all different shapes, objects letters in all different colors and sizes. Have fun with your little one and let him/her decorate the cover of the wipes container with the fun stickers. (This is the perfect answer to those difficult times when changing your toddler's diaper. Does he/she squirm, wiggle, roll over and try to get away every time you try to change his/her diaper? This activity will let you create something to use to distract your little one and keep him/her occupied while you change your toddler's diaper.) ````````````````````````````````````````````` Train... as in CHOO CHOO!!! Jump on the Potty Express! Yes, with this activity you will make a train of items that your toddler will take to the potty, for that special potty training event. You'll need some ribbon, 3 small boxes, construction paper, and some tape. Take construction paper and cover the sides of the boxes. Then cut out some small circles for the wheels and tape/glue them to each box. To connect the boxes together just take a small strip of construction paper and tape it to the inside front of the last box, then tape the other side to the inside back of the box in front. Do the same for the next box. Then for the front box, tape a single long ribbon to the front inside. See photo. Next have your toddler pick a favorite small "potty" book, toy, and stickers. Put each item in a box and keep the train nearby for that run to the bathroom. Have your toddler pull the train to the bathroom so that the items are nearby for the event. ```````````````````````````````````````````` All toddlers want to play with cell phones! Here a chance to make one with your toddler and let him/her have fun pretending to call all his/her toddler friends. You'll need 2 mini raisin boxes, empty. That's the fun part! Cover each box with some black construction paper. Then tape them together on one side only, lengthwise, allowing you to be able to bend at the hinge. See photo. Then print out the graphic for a cell phone keypad and glue it to the side of the two raisin boxes that you just taped. Now it's time to let your toddler make some ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Here are just a few. please let me know if you like any of them.
