I had Cookie my cat spayed last Monday. I think there is something wrong, possibly an infection. She is still very swollen and tender where the stitches are and when I hold her and try to touch gently on her tummy, she starts clawing and biting at me. I think that after a week, it should be less painful for her and the swelling should have gone down by now. I am worried about my little baby! Please pray that she is ok and I will keep you updated. I am taking her in today, and I hope that I am just being paranoid. I hate that my baby is hurting.

Oh my! That is one determined calico you have! She hasn't really messed with her stitches. She has been cleaning her suture site and I have been cleaning it to. I can't wait to get to the vet and find out if she is ok!

I would be taking her back to the vet as well. It does sound like there may be something wrong. Better safe than sorry anyway. I hope that there is nothing wrong with her.

I'm glad you are taking Cookie in again to the vet so they can check her out, because I would have thought that after a week (since the operation), she shouldn't really be that tender to touch. If she does have an infection, then it should be treated. Let us know what happens mamasan.
