Is the Wii Internet Channel worth it?

I understand that 500 wii points are needed. I have bought many Wii items and have only gathered enough for 400 points through the club nintendo site. I'm 50 short for the extra hundred and am not interested in spending any other money for any more games etc. for a long time.
What can you tell me about the internet channel? I'm not educated about it much. All I know is that the BBC iplayer has just been added to it.

just download the demo or something. I have the internet and it kind off good and i didn't had to buy anything. In europe it's free software i think! Don't know for sure! The version you talk about may be the full version! But i don't think i need more things i like it now already!

Well, I only got the Wii the start of this month and according to what I have read, it only remained free until July last year for some silly reason. Where can you get the demo? It mustn't be available anymore!

i have it more than a year! Haven't checked it recently! Don't buy wii points so haven't in fact bought anything! So i just know that the internet thing was for free! =( soz can't help you more!

I have no idea about any demo. If you like sitting in a comfy chair and like watching videos on youtube and such, it's a good buy. If you spend lots of time on the internet, or have a lousy mouse like me, it's worth it. If you only have one computer, and someone else is always on it, download it. If you want to gather all your friends around your TV, instead of your computer for some funny videos, go for it. If you write lots of e-mails, you'd be best off getting a compatible keyboard and mouse for your Wii, since the Wiimote doesn't work as well. It's your call. Since you say you're not interested in any Virtual Console games or any other games, I'd recommend you download it!

My brother told me today that a new game is on its way, so if it has a club nintendo code I shall have enough points for the internet.
Yes, I love youtube! I shall definitely get it one day then.
