Star beside your name

The colored star beside your name with the number, it says reputation when you put your curser next to it, does that mean that if someone doesn't like what you replied back that they know you down a point or 2. mine was 9 now 8 and all i can figure is this one person is doing it because she doesn't like anything wrote that is not same as he belief. So could she be knocking me down and what does this do to my score or money.

I had this same problem awhile back and then it took me a month to build it back up and now it has gone way down again. I don't understand how this keeps happening and I have asked Crash why and he says it can't be one person rating me with negatives. He says that mylot has a system in place that won't allow one person to go around and rate one other person continuously. So it means, to me, that several people would have to be giving me negative ratings. I guess some people here don't like me, and that's okay.
Your earnings aren't affected by the star rating, again according to Crash. So I don't worry too much about the points.

so I guess it means you have hit on someones nerve, and they didn't like your answer. I though that giving your opinion was what this was about, but some I see you have to side with them or they knock you down, it alright with me cause I'm not sidign with some one when I think they wrong just to be on the good side of anyone. As long as don't effect my earnings I don't care. I lnow of 2 who didn't like what I said, Like I said if you don't want to hear the answer don't ask the question

depend on my knowing rating star not related with your earning, dear friend. rating star is exist to show about your reputation among another members. more number in your rating star, it shows that you're the most nice person in here about your way to response and support each other.
i know its disappointed when someone rate us negative while we were saying different point of view with him/her. i just hope that mylot more fair in giving points in str rating which is mean not only by rated negative from anothers

crash from mylot told us that it takes more than one person to affect the star rating. I don't rate anyone negatively because even if somebody doesn't agree with me it does not mean he or she does not have a good discussion.

It may not be exactly the reason, which you have thought. MYlot people keep a tab on members, suppose if any particular member is rating you as 'negative', it would be noted by mylot authorities. Else, if you have firm doubt about that member, you can 'report' the entire apprehension of yours to mylot.

The star won't affect your money, it is based on number of responses you posted matched with number of postives and or minus' you get.
So it can go down if someone keeps giving you minus' but it can go down if you post responses and don't get plus' as well.
At least that is how it was explained to me,

Since i now know why it does not matter to me, it just shows me that some post questions on here but unless you only side with them and what they believe they cut you down, you will have to continue cutting me because if I have an opinion different than yours then come back and tell me why I'm wrong they dont' even do that just cut you and go on. If I think someone wrong I ask them to tell me why they feel that way. guess some just don't want to stand up for why they did it, because no one has answered me back to say I was wrong or they didn't like what I said.
