Have you ever had just one of those days where it doesn't matter what you do it isn't right. My day started out when I had to drive 45 miles one way to take my husband to a Social Security doctor for a exam, we arrived early as I had not been to this area in a long time so wanted to make sure that I allowed plenty of time. No more than we got there they told us no appointment had been scheduled for my husband, she called SS and they said no appointment that they knew of, but I had 2 letters in my hand that we received stating that we was to be at this place by 2:15 and we would be cut off if we did not make it. We was told they could not take us. Cost me $40. in gas to go and they are giving me $9.75 back, funny I am still waiting on the payment for gas from 1975. Had to come back home and call a number that was told them yes you do have a appointment but our computers messed up.When she had SS on the phone dont' you think the could of faxed them a paper telling them what tests they needed and let us go on and do them since we was there. It was not a problem for the doctor. Now they say they will reschedule and let us know some time next month. That messes up the trip back home for the nephews wedding as we can not find out when they will schedule it for. Do you think it fair they not fax a paper over to the doctor's since we was there and had letters telling us to be there. Do you have problems with Social Security too. Oh and by the way when you are having a day like today, dont' bake a cake, mine fell apart.

gee, i am sorry about whats happened with you dear friend. in my opinion what you have accepted in those condition is unfair cause you already there and this kind thing is not your mistake at all. your social security should offer something better to fix this one, dear. about social security, i am not sure that we have it in my country but if you talk about public service in my country, the condition will be similiar enough with your social security case

my husband was hurt on the job in 1995 and I have been dealing with them since then, one thing they do not do is schedule appointsments around you, they do what ever they can do to mess up your life. We live on a very limited income and that money is all I had to live on the rest of the month, maybe 10 dollare more, that I had to put in gas for the truck, found tht I didnt' need as much as I bought but didn't know where I was going either. Social Security is there to make your life merisible. Oh and the cake was good anyway.

oh gosh I do understand how you feel that is just totally awful. I would demand more compensation that that, is there a seniors lobby group in your area that can advocate for you?

i don't know if theres a senior group in our area, but I know that it is a wasteof time now to wait on the return of my gas money, Social Security is some of the worst people I have ever had to deal with they could care less if you lose every thing you have, some of the people in the offices act like the money is coming out of their pockets. They cared less that that $30. I had to put in gas was the last money I had, sometimes I feel like when a person gets hurt or gets bad sick they should just let them die and get it over with instead of making them live this way.

That is awful. Yeah I had problems 2 weeks ago with the SS office. They forgot to change my medicare name back from my ex husbands last name. When I went in to show them the first time after waiting for 2 hours the lady laughed at me like I was a idot and told me we need your divorce papers. So the next day I brought my divorce papers i dealt with a differnt person a man. He told me I didn't need them and it was already on file. I also told him about the lady laughing at me he didn't say anything he sort of inored me. At least he fixed it. I got my new medicare card in the mail today. that sounds awful what you guys had to go through today though I hope they pay you back for your gas at least.

Well I won't hold my breathe for the gas money considering I am still waiting to be paid from 1995. And what we go through with getting his medicine is unreal. But I think most of our problems has been that he was put on it in Louisiana and they screw up every thing. Maybe when this goes through up here it will be kind of normal.

I am so sorry. I cannot imagine your frustration. I am on SSI, with hopes to get off of it someday if a doctor or two would actually be consistent, and God grants me a miracle. I just today got a situation settled with a doctor that had been going on for two months. They kept telling me different things, so I patiently waited a week. No one got a hold of me, so for another solid week I called them every day, but no one would call me back. Finally, I sent a letter. Today, after two months I get all three things settled with them. Meanwhile my blood pressure which has always been low, must be high by now!

Yes and you go to the doctor and you tell them what is wrong and they just ignore you,at least 3 times I have said that the 3 last fingers on my lefthand are numb and they just act like they never even hear you, shouldn't they recomend a referrel or an ex ray or something to see what causing it. I think some doctors just wait to see if you will just either go away or die off so they dont't have to mess with you any longer. And they keep saying don't know what is making your blood pressure high again duddd

I don't have problems with social security because I am not on it yet. But I hav heard you and others complain about it a lot and I am not looking forward to the day I will be collecting it. Not that I want to get old enough yet to collect it, but the day for that isn't far ahead. I am 51 years old so I don;t have much longer to go till then. I hav had one of those days that everything goes wrong, or just nothing goes right. So on those days, if it is possible, I just stay in the house and work on mylot and other sites that I earn money on. I just want to be alone and left alone when I am having a bad day. I wish you luck and hope you have a better day or more better days to come, my friend.

when you are dealing with Social Security seems like they always mess up on something. sorry for all your troubles. two days ago I had a day like that too.I took a cab to my doctors and was too early so sat and hurt with my shingles then fell asleep just as the nurse called my name.lol. so she weighted me like they always do and she called attention to the fact that one of the rubber feet on my quad cane was missing.oh oh, so my doctor gave me a prescription for more anti viral med valtrex. I got it filled, no problem but the grocery cart I had used to help me walk across the shopping center had been taken. so I kept the one from riteaid and walked over to my favorite restaurant.I parked the cart outside and went in and ordered fish and chips when they came there was enough for three people there and the french fries were limp and soggy. hate that. I kept thinking that there was one more thing I was supposed to do but could not remember what the heck it was . so I got a doggie bag and had the cashier call a cab for me.I got home and was going to put a stamp on an envelope and remembered what I was going to get stamps. well I was just glad the day was over as I was hurting.

That was an awful day for you,and its maybe not too often that we have one quite as bad as that. But often there are days that are a bit frustrating to say the least!a day when every plan that you make goes wrong, and everything you touch just falls apart in your fingers. But thankfully these days dont come too often. But as the saying goes Life is sent to try us..and sometimes it tries us to the limits !

It happens.Every now and then,I find myself in a day when everything just doesn't go my way.And whatever I do,seems like it would just turn out a biiig mistake. In that case,I'll just listen to music, not doing anything, and not even thinking about anything. Good luck~!

Poor you, that sounds like a horrible day! I've always thought Friday 13th was a lucky day - but the one last week wasn't. My son had a minor accident in the car park which is going to end up costing us $1200 on his insurance excess - and as I took the phone call telling me about that, I snapped the arm off my glasses! Had to balance them on my nose for the rest of the day, and even though I was lucky enough to find someone to put the lenses in new frames the next morning, it still cost $250. So ... NOT the best day I've ever had!
