I have Avast home edition on my laptop & AVG home edition on my PC. I've never really tested Kapersky though. I've used Norton before as well.

I use McAfee at home and AVG at office. Both are good for me. I have not had a problem till now. You can get McAfee installed and then update regularly. Even if you have AVG you have to update every now and then. If you set itup it will update itself regularly. You will not have to do it. But McAfee you have to do the updates once in a while. Just check it up. That's all.

The antivirus that I used is an Antivira Antivir Personal Edition Classic. I used this because it is free and you could update it everyday. And it detects virus easily and dont used much memory on your computer.

I used to use norton antivirus, but it used too much computer resources and it scans very slowly so I had changed to McAfee Antivirus which scan very well, have a strong firewall protection plus a lot of features thanks to the special package that is provided by America Online plus the subscription it's free. Both antivirus products worked well on mainstream and old viruses, they just don't do very well in RARE virus. If you ever have a Rare, try scanning your computer with every antivirus products you can find include Microsoft's OneLiveCare, cause there's no such thing as single Best antivirus product that can catch every viruses out there on the net.
