Every so often, I pull out photos showing me as a happy, mischievous seven-year-old. One of my favorite photos features a close-up of me grinning in my first Communion dress and veil. Needless to say, I behaved myself on that special day, but probably grinned because something struck me funny and I couldn't laugh about it just yet.
