I received a phone call at work yesterday from a foreign man calling himself Richard Simmons. He said that I owed US National Bank $834 for a payday loan from 2005. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about. I was taking notes while he was talking so I would have some details. Finally I told him that I was at work and could not speak to him right then. I did give him my cell number though, big mistake! He called back and wanted a cc number. I would not give it to him. He would not tell me the name of the company that the payday loan was with. He would not agree to mail me anything or email me anything. He threatened me and said that he was going to download my file and I would be arrested. Then he told me my phone number was my social security number. I got online and went to a site where you can look up numbers. Well, there was a long list of complaints against this guy. He calls from an 856 number which is in New Jersey. He tells you to call him back in California. Then he later called me from another number. I am glad that I did not give him any info b/c all the posts online proved to me that this was not legit. This guy is trying to scam people. It sounds like there is a tv going in the background when he calls. Can you believe this? Why would someone try to scam you like this? Come to find out, he has been calling my work everyday. I work for a state facility, so I am sure that it won't be that hard to turn him in for harrassment.

what an idiot... its a good thing you didn't fall for it. People nowadays just try to think of scams to earn some money... No one thinks about morality anymore...

Thing is on that site where I looked the number up, there was a page full of testimonials from people who this guy had called. So he sounds real. People are falling for it. Doesn't help that he threatens you. But we all know, that you can't go to jail for owing money.

who do you think wrote the testimonials... and just added random photos of people... Come on, we have to stop believing these BS websites that simply waste our time... The only way one can really make money on the internet is to start their own website and sell stuff... The old fashioned way.. sell your goods for money!! All these surveys just take up all your time only pay you if they feel like paying...
