When I was younger, I used to be able to go on all the carnival rides that go around in circles, and I LOVED them! I realized though, that as I get older, it's not quite as easy for me to go in circles without getting sick. I actually get motion sickness now! How horrible.
Well, a few years ago, on a summer vacation in New York, my boyfriend and his family decided we were all going to go to the local carnival. I was excited, because I love carnivals, because of all the gyros, cotton candy, rides, and games! My boyfriend has a wonderful record at winning me cute little things as well, so I loved the thought of getting some cute new stuffed animal to add to my collection.
We were there not even 15 minutes after we got our tickets to go on rides and what not, that we decided to ride on the swings that go around in circles. You know the kind, all carnivals and theme parks have them! I have always loved the swings, and it was actually my idea to go on them! I ended up having to sit next to a lady I didn't know, although she was very nice. I felt sick about halfway through the ride, and she was constantly asking if I were okay or not. Of course, I wasn't, and I started throwing up while the ride was going round and round.
The lady was very nice though, since as as we slowed down she helped to hold my hair back, and gave me a napkin to wipe my mouth. I felt so silly, because I just threw up in front of everyone, and couldn't understand why I had even gotten sick! My boyfriend and his siblings thought it was quite funny, although he did help me up and get me something to rinse my mouth out with. I gave up on rides that day, I refuse to go on anything that goes around in circles anymore.
Do you find yourself getting sick during regular activities and rides that you normally wouldn't?

I haven't been on a ride in some time now, but I always loved the things that go round and round and could ride all day.
My (ex)husband and my sons always did the roller coasters and I don't like them, so I usually had no one to ride with me. The boys would sometimes, but they'd rather ride the tall scary things with their dad.
He would get sick on the round and rounds that I liked, so it usually wasn't a lot of fun for me to go to a carnival or amusement park. I was just the one carrying the pocket book.

I still like to ride all of the rides at the carnival, the ones that go around. I like the ones that go the fastest the best.My daughter is that way though, she can not ride those rides either.

Oh that must have been horrible!! I have never gotten sick on a ride, but I will not go on those swing rides anyway, I am more of a rollercoaster thrill ride girl. I suffer with travel sickness in a car, but that is about it.
