who or what am I?

I have a face but no eyes I have only one foot, but no limp My face is weathered with age Though I have no nose to smell I have never ran in fear I am steadfast and sure Few men have crossed me And those that did will never forget me I am the unmoving gardian But I will not lift a finger to help you Though blood flows not through my veins I may be full of life Many have seen me And yet few truly know me If you think you know me Then tell me, who or what am I?

I did some intensive research on this. I think it could be a hill...or maybe a mountain????? :)

I have no idea, but now I will be pondering this for the next few days. Thanks a lot...like a song I can't get out of my head. Or a limerick I am trying to catch...LOL.
