I love to read, especially mysteries, English mysteries. If parents read to their kids for 15-30 minutes per day, they'll learn to enjoy reading.

Yes, every day I read a few pages from a large book bound in human skin. I would like to read more than that but it would send me insane.

Morning I read newspaper for 1 hour. In the evenining for about an hour, I read English Classics : Dickens, Thomas Hardy, Shakespeare. On sundays I read for couple of hours, any interesting novels Jeffrey Arthurs, Shidney Sheldon etc. Reading is a good habit. Due to advancement of technology, people are so engrossed in their work, they hardly find time to read. People who really find time, they get glued to idiot box. When you have interest in reading, you are increasing your vacabulory, language skills, knowledge about the world, peoples are enriched, you look at the life in a different way. Stephen Leacock, a great humorist wrote about reading habits of Americans. This I must have read in Readers Digest printed in 1920's. AMERICA PRINTS MORE BOOKS THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. BUT THEY DONOT READ. THE LAST AMERICAN SAT TO READ WAS IN THE DAYS OF HENRY CLAY. THEY CANNOT READ. SCENARIES RUSHES PAST THEM. THEY HEAR. so on. The point I am trying to drive home is reading is very vital and the importance of book reading should be inculcuted in our children, otherwise they will have missing links in their life.
