I'm tired of getting viruses in my computer especially under Windows XP. Anti-virus will protect you but sometimes newest viruses cannot be detected and by the time it infects your computer it already modified your windows settings in the Windows registry. As a solution I used deep freeze to protect my PC. I did not install any anti-virus because when it is rebooted the hard disk that has been freezed will return to previous (virus free) state. Its a bullet proof defense against any viruses. In addition your computer runs fast because no anti-virus is running. Anyone of you have tried this product? Post your comments here. True, Deep Freeze is good. However if you not installing an antivirus program is not a good thing... There are viruses that can infect any drive and especially the system files. Even though when you reboot the system the virus goes away you still have the problem of saving your files.... So you make a thaw folder and it is this folder that the virus attracts and uses it to run and infect your system files. The only way to remedy this infestation is installing a decent antivirus program(though you have to unfreeze it)... However installing any decent without unfreezing is also bad because some viruses (caught by anti virus program) will only be deleted pr disinfected upon reboot. And since the anti-virus is not running (not yet installed) upon boot up you still are infected because it will infect your thaw files. So the cycle goes on and on...

Yeah, its great program to protect your computer from virus, error, etc. I use it for my internet cafe computers, so if the client get screw up; just reboot and it will back to default condition. no headache anymore :) but it seems not suitable for pc that used for working.

yeah, its good. but if the program itself was corrupted you have no choice but to have ur harddrive formatted. one thing, you have to disable it first before you are able to install programs, and once it is disable and you didnt install any anti-virus, your computer will easy get infected, annoying isnt it? and freez does not allow updating. again you have to disable it before you do the update. for me its not that worth using... sorry but thats the way i find it.

i think deep freeze is good with internet cafe since they dont have to save documents,. but with personal use i disapprove it. with viruses there are a lot of antiviruses available so why waste space and memory for deep freeze

Yeah it is good but most computers in the internet cafe crashes because of the program. I don't know if deep freeze is harmful to your Hard Disk. Is it?

Hello there I started using Deep Freeze 2 years ago. I have to say that it is so helpful. It keeps the computer good as new.Last time I need to format my computer at least once every 3 months which is a headache. I will face terrible pop ups and computer slowing down day by day.But now everything is so good. I bought Deep Freeze Standard. It doesn't slow down computer like Norton Antivirus does.Try it and you will appreciate and regret why you did not know about this earlier.

I am using now deep freeze. I been using for more than a year. It really helps protect your pc, in a way that if your computer is infected with virus, the moment you restart your computer the viruses are gone.
