How often do you check your mail?

My friend checks hers once a week. I thought that was crazy. I check mine everyday. Most bills for me are electronically sent now so there isn't really bills. I only get cards or letters around Christmas or my birthday. I am a freebie hunter so everyday is like a surprise. What an I going to get today? I got a measuring cup and a perfume sample yesterday. I love checking it and know that the mail lady comes around noon. My mailbox is at the end of the road in a compartment along with the rest of the people around here. But my friend has to go to the post office to get hers. If that was the case I would go less often too.
How often do you check your mail?
Do you have it come to the door, compartment, or go to pick up?
Do you dread checking it for bills or love it for surprises?

i have mail box and check it every week. although it become full and there are a lot of notes but i have it all done in 2 - 3 hours just not wasting too much time.

I check my mail everyday as its important for me.
Although i don't get any type of mails concerning bills but though mails i get updated about my friends and i also get some notifications from certain sites ...
thats why checking mail everyday is important for me!!

dear vicki I check my email in every alternate day as I am coming to home from office in late hours and after coming home in later it is not possible for me to check all emails. Hence every alternate day during my lesiure time I see my mails.

Dear Vicki,
For me the mail man comes home daily. He leaves the mail in the mail box at the gate and goes off. Some times a magazine or some bank statements or some other pamphlets will also be there. there is nothing and no spam to be dreaded and cleared off . Not like the e mail, clearing of the spam is the biggest problem sometimes. Don't you think so? all the best

i do check my mailbox daily im so eager to know what am i goin to get....ofcoz i get mails very rarely coz most of my frends contact me through email n phone..so i also check my email everyday

Yes it is true mostly our friends send e-mails instead of the hand written letter.

I no longer recieve postal mail nowadays. If ever I do, it's from a bank or from a magazine publisher.
I check my electronic mails everyday though. I have important messages everyday so I have to check it. I have three important email accounts so I check all of those everyday. hehehe..

Your friends may be right in checking their mail once a week. Actually it all depends on what you are expecting in your mail and according one decides the urgency and schedule to check it. I too check my mail daily as my stock market transactions are reported there and bank too sends statements there apart from responses to my discussions on mylot and several survey offers which may be waiting my way.

My son picks up my mail everyday when he gets home from school. Im like you I love to see what free samples might be in the mail. I just got my glade oil candle freebie.

My mails are delivered by the postman to my door step. I check my mails once every four to six month. The only mail I get is my bank statement so I only check it when it comes.

I live on base. Our mail box is a couple houses down. I never check it. My husband loves to get the mail so I let him do it. It usually gets checked every day but sometimes we miss a day. I get lots of samples too!

Interesting question, but even more interesting answers. Isn't it funny how some of the responses assumed you meant email? It shows just how much more important email is today than regular mail.
Oh, and I check my mail daily, email every 15 minutes when at work.

I only expect one mail every month. My mastercard bill. So I only check our mails once a month.
In the Phillippines all bills and or letters are sent directly to our house so theres no need to check the mailbox.
Yes I love surprises and I love it when I will receive something that I dont expect but thats only during Christmas and my birthday.

I always checking my email, almost everyday.
My fulltime job is doing more by email. We send data, information, request and so on by email.
When email or internet connection down, my work is just like without one leg.

unless am sick i check my mail every blessed day,i hate to have my box filled up with unneccessary mails and beside i am into customer services i get more mails now than i can remember and also i need to be updated of my workings online

I check my mail everyday. When I am free from work and at leisure I do it twice a day because I spend twice the time I normally spend on a given day. I started receiving a lot of mails ever since I started blogging.
Yeah! not to forget I do pay bills online. Even if I forget to see the mail, my billers do remind me on phone. So, I have to open the mail.

I check my emails twice a week but sometimes when I know I am expecting an email from someone, I check it everyday lolz so that I can be sure that I won't miss it!
