My mom is a professional photographer, so most of what I've learned, I learned from her. However, once you learn the basics you can only go so far. The best way to improve your work is to keep practicing!
I learn a lot by sharing my photos with other more experienced and professional photographers. They often have lots of tips and critiques that can make a huge difference!
Also, studying the work of other photographers can help. Analyze the photos of others. What do you like about their photos? What don't you like? How can your likes and dislikes of other photos help you better your own photos?

I started photography through trial and errors too. I first did so by learning about my digital camera. I found out a lot about lighting, positioning, and others. Then, when I moved on to other complicated digicams, I learned more too.
Every digicam has something new to be discovered. What skills you have acquired have to be re-learned. That is a challenge. So, it is a continuous learning process.

Yea different cameras have something different. I think I really need to take a look at the manual and study it a bit and explore the functions better!

Many people told me that it appeared that I had an eye for photography. I took that and went to the local library. I found books on basic photography, lighting and posing. From that I got a good foundation. Then, practice, practice, practice. Since then, I have subscribed to Popular Photography. I pick up tips and hints each month. I work to put those into practice as much as possible and learn from them. It's an on-going process.

I started with photography when I was in 6th grade. From then on, dad always encouraged me to take good photos. I think I developed it with constant practice. I improved my skills by enrolling in one of those summer classes offered by one of the prestigious schools here in the Philippines. Our teachers were some of the best photographers here in the Philippines. I also read articles online as well as magazines that can help me improve on my craft.

Cool, that's interesting. I think I will read something and practice and practice at the same time. Then I might consider a class when I have more budget.

I started photography by trial and error.Neither I read books nor did I go for coaching ? I do not know at which level I am now in photo skills. But I can notice the improvement in the quality of photos taken now compared to those that are taken a while back.

I learned photography from my elder brother who is taking up Organizational Communication in de La Salle University Manila. One of his major subjects is FOTOCOM or photo communication. They are taught how to take good pictures. I asked him to teach me and I learned the basics. It is good to learn from someone you know because it is for free. Try also reading self-help books on photography. It might help a lot.

Practice makes perfect. Since I have used the digital camera, I don't have to worry about the cost. I can take as many as photos I like. Besides, I will also ask some questions to my friends who are professional in photography. And sometimes I will also search the information and look at others masterpieces online. It can improve my skills.
I love China
