When I was still in the elementary, I use to sell candies to my classmates. I get the candies from my neighbor in the morning and pays it back in the the afternoon. I use the money I earned as my allowance in school. In college, I used to make bookmarks out of felt paper and sell to it my schoolmates. I also supply bookmarks to a friend who sells them in another university. I also paint postcards and sell it too. My sister and I also makes noodle chips (shing-aling) and delivers it to a supermarket near our house. When I was already working, I bring samples of footwear in the office (my family owns a small footwear factory) and get orders from my officemates. Sometimes, I supply footwear to my other officemates who joins bazaars. I entered into more serious businesses after that, some big, others are small. In some I earned big, in some too irrelevant to mention and there are also some that flopped. How about you...have you ever ventured into a business? What kind of business is it? What happened? Please share.

Well, I guess yes. When I was a kid, we ran a small variety store and I help out. My mother cooked banana cue and my siblings and I would bring them in the street to sell them (mostly in my cousins' house because they were obliged to buy). When I went to college I also ventured into small time business of selling items to my classmates but mostly these were supplies that I had. I just sold them to make extra money for my extra curricular activities. (You know). But big business... I have not really tried yet. I was really thinking of something but, I am not a risk-taker in that department. Maybe in the future. Who knows?

When I was growing up, I was regarding myself as a bad business woman but I believe otherwise now. All it takes for me is to avoid the kind of business that would pierce my heart. Buying and selling is not a business for me. I know that for sure. I will just let myself be lost because of pity on other people who don't have money to pay me back. I am so shy to collect payment either. I feel I am more into stocks investment.

Oh, it's the opposite with me. If I owe somebody, I feel very uncomfortable that every time she stares at me, it feels like she's going to collect. I think stock investment is good but I haven't tried it yet.

Wow Heart - you are doing very well in all your business ventures it seems. I haven't ventured into this type of business. I am always too wary of losing out. However, I did buy a house as an investment and used to rent it out but my friend who stayed there did me a disservice and trashed it. In the end I sold it and bought the house we are living in now. My BF tried a water skiing business in Spain and it failed not for any other reason than that the competition was impossible. They had a type of Spanish mafia and got the bent police on it. They used to put sugar in their fuel tanks etc., so horrible. In the end he had to pull out and lost a lot of money. People can be so crueil. But then there are people like you who are kind and like to help others. I am glad these ventures are going well for you and your family. :)

Thanks for your kind words. Not all of the businesses I entered made big. I also lost in some. Some also failed. But I think that's the way to learn. When we experience loses, we realize the mistakes we have done and that makes us wiser.
