I have a friend, who has a male cat that has been nuetered that has an issue with peeing. The cat pees on her bed, couch, floor etc. She also has a 2nd cat, female so she bought a 2nd litter box to help combat Little Guy's problem. It hasn't stopped him from peeing all over her apartment. I'd thought it was possibly a bladder infection as I had a male cat a few years ago who peed in the bathroom sink when he had a bladder infection. Does anyone here have any insight on why the cat has gone pee crazy..?? Any idea on getting him to focus on the litterbox and not on the furniture??

The male cat may just be mad. He could have a urinary tact infection or other aliment though. If she has changed anything recently - food, litter, etc. She may want to change it back. He could be sick though, so a trip to the vet wouldn't hurt the cat. I know our male does things like that when his teeth are bothering him or he is having sinus problems.
