College stress

So today I went to the meeting with my college advisor. It didn't take too long. But I do have to start working harder now because I lost a semester because of a dumb problem with my tuition. Now I have to take as many classe as possible and tomorrow is the day where I have to register. I need all of you guys to pray for me for this year. This is going to be a really stressful year and I am hoping that I don't have a breakdown or something. I am already thinking of at least taking three online classes. And then around five to six classes in the university. Hopefully this won't tire me out to much and I'll at least have some time to work on my lot and the other online programs I'm a part of. So pray for me guys and wish me luck! Anyone else out there in this kind of predicament? With all this school stress?

hi ayumi-chan! that doesn't sound so bad. five to six classes is still a few. i used to take more than that back in college. its all in our curriculum. but we do have the choice of selecting which classes to take. i opted to follow my curriculum because i wanted to graduate on time. there were really stressful times but i got through it with flying colors. friends were there to cheer me up and i was there to cheer them up. i had experienced failing in one exam and i just cried over it and did better the second time. i failed on other exams too but i got used to it. i just did my best the second time. good thing i never failed a subject. i never had any back subjects no matter how hard they were. i had considerate teachers too. anyway, good luck to your studies. don't stress yourself too much. health first before anything else okay?

Yeah I know it's tough doing this and so stressful and it's good to have friends there that can help you out and cheer you up at the same time. If not then we would have a nervous breakdown. Most of the teachers I have are pretty cool teachers and not so mean so I'm lucky in that and most of the classes are pretty easy.

Why do you have to take so many classes? Is it just because you're taking classes and charged by the time you're there, not by the credit hour? (My school charges by number of credits, not by time spent, so I'm taking at most 5 classes a semester, so I stretch out the time but it's more affordable.) I know you said you lost a semester, but if you get burnt out and don't do well in the classes, I don't think that it will make matters any better, you may end up having to retake courses if you can't do well enough in them. Best of luck to you, though, with whatever you decide. I can only wish you the best, and send you a blessing. ((Though I do confess that school is stressing. I'll be transferring to a different one after next semester, and I'm not sure how that's going to go. We can just hope for the best. :P))

The thing is that my major has a lot of classes that I need to take, and besides the classes that my major needs I also have to take a few classes for my university. They have these requirements which are a bunch of classes that you need to take from them. So I want to take whatever classes I can right now. And I'm trying to pick classes that aren't so hard. You know what I mean, so like I haev this art class that I am thinking of taking for one of the requirements. It deals with ceramics and I've heard that it isn't as tough. So i'll be able to take this class and not worry as much about it as the other classes. My school doesn't charge per credit. At least I don't think so. There are a few classes that you have to pay an extra fee which is usually anywhere from $20 to $45, from what I've seen so far. Yeah I know If I do get burnt out then I'm in big trouble so that's why I'm going to spend tonight thinking about all of this and all the recommendations you guys are giving me to think what I am going to do next year. Even if you only have a few classes school is still stressful. I mean I lost a semester because a problem with TAP and I was so mad but I guess you learn from mistakes. But yeah thanks for everything and I wish you luck when you transfer to another school. Thanks for everything.

Yeah I know it's all worth it at the end. I just have to get through each day slowly and not take anything too serious.

School is out. I am a MAN now. I never remembered being stressfull in school. It was lot of fun. Try to enjoy ur time in school. U will never get these days back. When u grow older, the only good memories that u will have is from ur school.

Yeah I know but I'll have fun later. I have fun doing anything to tell you the truth. I'm a real complex person. But right now the sooner I finish my classes and get enough credits then I won't have to spend an extra year there. Have a nice day Mr. Man. LOL.

I think school is always stressful for me. I tried online classes for me, but they didn't work so well because I couldn't discipline myself and continually got sidetracked when working on assignments. So you really have to think about whether or not that will work for you. That is a huge amount of classes you are taking all at once. It is better to spread it out. If you do have a nervous breakdown and let your grades slip you will have an even bigger problem with financial aid in the future. Take it from someone who's been down that road. Even if it means pushing back your graduation date a semester, your GPA and peace of mind will be better off in the long run.
