Love money?

Do you love money? I think I might, though in a recent discussion with my boyfriend on the matter, apparently that's not a good trait to have and apparently Im not the type of person to. What do you think about people who love money? What image does this give you of people? Mainly I love having money really, I love the opportunities it brings - the freedom. What about you?

I love money and I think many people do, since money is central to a decent life. I don't think it is either a good or bad trait, as long as you don't forget the people around you.

There is a difference between loving money and being irresponsible with it. Using your overdraft as money you have and spending your wages before you have them is just irresponsible. You can be sensible and love money. You probably love money more than them, they want the possessions that money can buy, you want the money itself.

that's odd because I've found that people really do take it as a negative. All the people around me are so bad with money, and it goes through me. My best friends and my sister is the worst for it - she's spend it all before she even gets paid, using her overdfraft as money she owns. I'm glad that I'm not like them, but for it I have to put up with the label of 'tight' lol.

i really don't think it's a good trait to have to love money, and i wish i could be free of it, but in our society today it's basically impossible. everything revolves around money, if you have it, you're looked up to, if you don't, it's a struggle. it's natural to like having it. personally it does make me happier, maybe only temporarily, but i like to know i have money in the bank just in case, so that i don't have to worry i'm spending too much money on coffee or something :( it's true that it gives you freedom too. it's sad but true...

Yes I agree. That's exactly how I feel. It's abotu security and freedom isn't it. As long as we have it I feel secure in what I'm doing. Even if I'm not spending anything, and it's just sitting in my bank account I know taht of anything happens it'll be there.

yeah I suppose - I hadn't thought about it like that (though of course that was the reason I started on this site too). It's really not the best way to make money though. I've just found taht I enjoy the discussions really.

I love money because it I don't like the stress of not having any or worrying about how I'm going to pay my bills. Money is not everything, but it sure does help!

Me too - this was more my point really. Though I know it might sound bad - but i have also always loved to count my money lol - you know to keep a track of it. Like internet banking's great - I can just log on to check out the exact amount, transfer accounts and stuff and log off again lol. Maybe that's just me

yeah i love money more than anything! if you have money you will have everything you dreamed of, money is everything, everybody in this world is running to get money, and to live a better life, in order to have a better life you need the help of money, i don think there is any one who hates money, i know some peoples that relates money with religions and stuff like that, money is also appreciated in bible, many of us are here to earn a penny from this site, i hope you understand me better, in my opinion money is the number one in life, happy mylotting!!

Ok... so I thought I loved money - apparently you beat me on that one. I wouldn't quite go to the extent to which you've expressed your love for it. Mine is more that as long as its there I can love the rest of my life, I think that's it anyway.
That's in our capitalist economy - but that's not the case throughout the whole world. Of course it is the majority in this day and age, but relatively undistrubed tribes etc. still have successful communal societies. Which is a nice thought. Though of course it's not something you can go back to as of course Russia etc. have done well to prove

Well I think its ok to love money as long as you remeber money isnt everything. Money is important to everyone without it you cant live a full life you can be happy without money but you will miss out on alot of things that money can get you.

I love money.but not too much.I dont think the money will give us more freedom and happiness.Sometimes the wealthness will be a barrier to our freedom.And in the case of happiness,it is mental feeling.We cannot get it only by earning some money.But money also one of the reasons of this.Thanks
