the band transit thats was signed to island record and now to morgan north records.is a band with a trade marked name.it was trade marked in 1982,and is listed and protected by bmi.this band and the music there in belongs to john wuench and robert sullivan,as is the bands name. all bands that are using this bands name to make money do so because john and robert in the past have sued over the name but because we they dont tour as much they have not found it necessary.in the case the real transit will start a tour in a city were a band is using their name,it will cause legal action.if the bands that calls theirselves transit should have done thier homework and would have found that in 1982 transit was formed by robert sullivan and joined in 1984 by john wuench and are the only legal owners of this name.in 1986 a band from europe was formed called transit express and the 2 bands had record contracts and are the only 2 bands world wide with the right to have this name in any form .....richard sanker attorney for the band transit
