national geographic wallpapers

hello all! i have started a blog with wallpapers from photo magazines. That sounds very cool, but is that considered art theft? I know you're not profiting off the wallpapers or anything, but you're making copyrighted works of others available for personal use without the permission of the artist/copyright holder. I just would hate to see you get in trouble or something!!! You've got a great collection of images over there, though!! Thanks for sharing!

Good point. Many people who indulge in art theft and copy right infringement are unaware of the grave nature of the act.

well, i think that all this art theft is just bull****. I mean, they have the national geographic logo and the name of the photographer. That, plus that i am not selling them, i just want to share the beauty of our planet. And, it's not like i'm saying "hey! don't buy national geographic! get it here for free!" because all those wallpapers can't be found in recent magazines. As a matter a fact, there could be some people that, seeing those wallpapers, could think "wow! national geographic magazines have some pretty neat pictures! i might just buy their magazine, at least from time to time" (that what i did, after i saw those pictures). But, eh, i got my account suspended, probably for this very reason. So, those of you who still want those pictures, you can get them from a torrent tracker. :)
