We here,do not celebrate our birthday every year. The most significant birthday must to be celebrated when we are 20,30,40,,,,we will have a feast and all relatives came to home.We drink and eat cake. That sounds more like a home get-together.The birthday presents from my relatives are red pockets--containing money of course. We call it "real birthday" Except for this,we seldom celebrated birthdays like that in other times. However, birthday every year has been regarded as a special day.You still could receive surprising presents like flowers from your boyfriend or girlfriend.Remember,no relatives will give you red pockets at that moment. We call them "small birthdays". So what 's your birthday culture?

Well in our family, we celebrate every year. Well, technically we usually do celebrate every year, but we really don't, because sometimes they seem to forget that it's our birthdays, or we just don't end up having a party! We usually worry more about the younger children's birthdays, giving them parties, and presents every year. As we get older, we don't really show as much interest in each other's birthdays, unless there is a party scheduled.

Children have great interest in birthday parties, especial that of his own. They like delicious foods, beautiful cake as well as singing birthday songs.A wonderful time! But why you worry more about the younger children's birthdays? A small present can even enough make them happy. Yes,as we get older,we often forget the special day of both ours and others. It is inevitable. We have a lot of other things to deal with.

I guess we just consider the children more important in our family. We want them to have fun as children, and look forward to their birthdays. It's fun even for us to watch the excitement of the children on their birthdays.

British people celerate their birthday every year with drinks, a birthday cake and gifts. Most people have bigger celebrations when they get to 30, 40, 50 and so on, usually with a party for their family and friends. Most people like to buy a present to give to someone on their birthday.

We do have some commen activities in our two countries.Families are the main guest on your birthday party. On large birthdays,we burn fireworks, send red pockets. However,I don't like to celebrate birthday, for I am older afterwards. A terrible thing of never being younger again!

Yes, no matter how small or whatever the celebration is, I still celebrate it with my family. I celebrated my birthday before with my sister and her driver and helpers alone. That was kind of sad because i wasn't enjoyed much but at least I was with my sister. It's kind of a tradition that we always celebrate birthdays in every member of the family.

We here haven't heard of celebrants in china. My mother should be the most tired person in family busy preparing a party and do several delicious foods for our relatives at our 20s,30s,40s--- for you,1,7,8 are considered milestones for birthday celebration, while every 10 years is our milstones. What are the gifts you received for your big celebrations then?

Yes we do. Even if it is just going out to dinner. It's a nice way to say we a glad you were born, we remember and are glad you are here. I don't always get a gift. But that isn't so important.

I always celebrate my birthday. It is a very important day of the year for me. I may celebrate it in a small or big way as long as I must do something on that day. If the celebration is before or after my birth date, my family would usually celebrate it with a special dish at home or in a restuarant. I am not a fancy lady but I have any friends who gives me parties almost every year. Thank you my friends. I miss you all. Take care =)
