Every time I've been away I come back and literally find that everywhere in the UK is so - grey. And it's not that I leave anywhere industrial. I live in a coastal town surrounded by countryside...cows are as colourful as life gets!!! Any comments x

I think UK is an amazing country!so maybe it is you rather than the UK that is grey!
I do recommend you to go out and enjoy the colourful life, cows, flowers, all of them are great and can make you feel better!

Don't get me wrong, we live life to the full, enjoy the parks, beach, the countryside, the garden - I'm on about everyone being pasty pale and the sky always being cloudy, the black tarmac...the worst it ever seemed was when we came back from Venice. I can see why people move abroad!

lol
I've never been to the UK, but every time I see a British movie the UK is pretty bland and boring, almost on purpose. I think that some British people may think like you ;)
Or maybe you are more of an explorer than a settler and same old same old isn't refreshing enough?
