Twins, do you? Are they identical? I always thought that I might have liked twins, I see quite a lot of twins about these days and they are so cute, did you dress yours alike or differently from the other?

That is so sweet, they must have been tiny. They do look adorable, twins when they are in the same clothes!

They were born identical Rose..i always remember...so funny..the first one popped out..and boy was she beautiful...a little rose bud mouth...then the second one popped out ..and lol...she looked like a little wizened old woman!!!!...her sister had been sitting on her I think!!!!...but she straightenend out lovely in the end!!!! They were tiny..one was three pounds and twelve ounces..the other was four pounds...and they stayed in hospital until they reached a target weight of 6 pounds....whch took a few weeks!!! I used to dress them identically...it was just the done thing then!!!...and we laugh now because in every photo there they are in the matching kit!!!!...Oh and shoes too!!!! We had good fun...they were very very alike ...and sometimes you needed to look closely to make sure you said the right name....i still make mistakes now!!!

I would have adored having twin daughters - even had the names picked out (just in case) - Jacqueline & Jillian - to be shortened to my little "Jacq & Jill" - alas it was not in the cards - LOL! Kuddos to you for raising twins - I don't know how you did it, I sometimes thought I would go crazy with one at a time!!!

I still have my little "Jacq & Jill" they're just 3 years apart in age, but would have been sooooo cute to have twins with those names. I understand what you mean about the nurses - I love my doctor, but the nurses in the maternity ward could have given Nazis lessons. Man they are strict!!! Anywho - I have a Jacqueline Grace & a Jillian Rose - I figure those names lend themselves to a wide range of nicknames, so no matter how their personalities turn out they can eventually chose what they want to be called. Princesses (which at 7 & 4 they are): Jacqueline & Jillian Girl next door: Jacky & Jill Tomboys: Jacq & Jilly etc.

I don't know that I could handle more than one baby at a time. I did have a dream about a month ago that I got pregnant and had eight babies at once. It was a strange dream, but it a way it was neat. I can't say that I would want that to come true though.

No I wouldn't!!! I have two children that are almost like twins. They are 10 months apart in age. I am part Irish and the Irish consider that to be called Irish twins. I give a lot of praise to anyone who does have twins, triplets, or more. It is very hard to handle kids when they are sooooo close in age. I can just imagine what its like when they are the exact same age.

You know I have been told that it is good to have your kids close in age. When they get older they tend to be very close to one another. But boy is it tough when they are young. My son and daughter are night and day to each other. Most of the time they have to play by themselves because if you stick them in the same room together it is an all out war. Not a pretty sight. LOL!

Hi there Ruby! That would be really nice. We have no twin history in the family though. We were planning to have two kids. We already have a five year old son but I wouldn't mind having twins next time. Not triplets or more though. But if that's what God wants us to have then we'll welcome them whole heartedly.

Hi angel...well we did have a history of twins..there were 5 sets of twins on my husbands side of the family. But strangely enough we never thought that we would have twins. Both of my twin daughters have children of their own now....but neither of them has had twins. I think triplets would be really hard work...imagine having 3 to bottle feed and nappy change all of the time...it was hard enough with the twins!!! But as you say..if that is what God wishes for you thats what will be... Take care Angel x

Hello dear ruby. I am very happy that you have twin daughters. I think that it is very nice to have twin kids though I do not have, yet in the hope that I would. It is a very nice gift to you with the twins of yours in your life. I am sure that they have given you lots of happy moments every day. Blessings, ruby.

Oh they really have brought a lot of joy William....but seeing as they are in their thirties now...dont tell them I said that they were very good girls!!! We always had a houseful of their friends around ..as they got older they had sleepovers....with their friends.... When they first went to school the teacher asked if i would like them kept in the same class...i said yes because i didnt want them to feel lonely without each other!!!!!! But as their schooling went on they developed their own characters...and eventually went into different classes... Now they are both married and have children of their own....

They are 18 years old, handsome and very respectful man, stand 5'9 and deaf!!!!actually, they are my cousin's son and after she gave birth, she leave the kids to her mom and she finds a job. The father didn't help her financially and left her when she was still pregnant! but she has her own family now and still the twins is living with my aunt! They are college now!both are talented, very normal mentally and physically, just that, they are deaf!

We would have loved more children Ruby, but it wasn't to be. Someone always got to them first and said, just as the pregnancy kit said - yes. "Sorry, but not this one". Four of those were enough so we are left with our single daughter. She is such a delight. I only have to hear her and my heart lifts. She is extremely gregarious, but sensitive and thoughtful too. She has a huge circle of friends and seems to live to party. I always say that she is studying partying and sleep at university, with English, film and creative writing thrown in! If she were a twin that would be truly wonderful. Double the trouble, but double the love too.

Yes..well hubby only wanted one child..so guess how he felt!!lol...no he adores them...re the uni bit well that sounds just about right...we had two of them go..and lol it was I need to pay this..and I need to pay that....and also because we were considered to be earning what they classed as a decent income at the time..we got very little help..but it was worth it in the end....Ive got my son is is super confident...enough for about six of us....where he gets it from Lord knows...then one daughter who is fairly extrovert...and the baby of the twins..and she is soft, gentle, and very unsure of herself....but beautiful....as indeed they all are.I once said to my son who was home from Uni..years ago...Well if you need some money to pay your gas bill you can count my copper tin out..well it had silver in too and he ended up with eighty plus quid...lolol i was heartbroken!!!!!!serves me right!

You must be joking Ruby!!! I have enough difficulty keeping track of the kids I have, I just can't imagine how I'd cope if you doubled the trouble. I hear of people who have four or five babies on the go all at once & I just can't fathom how they cope. When they're little I can see it working, but once they reach toddlerdom the poor parents must need to grown an extra 12 or so arms and eyes. So, in answer to your question, that'll be a resounding NO!!!

Oh i agree with you Moo...and now im in my 50s..well it would be my idea of hell!!!i like my peace and quiet too much!!

So many people say they wish they had twins. I have twins, and I never wished to. It was very difficult when they were babies. They're only 6 now, so it's still difficult most of the time. I think it's best to have them spread out a bit more.
