I remember taking the Pepsi Challenge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepsi_Challenge back in the 1980s at the local mall. My mom took my sister and I; we all decided to see what we preferred. I was the ONLY one in the family who chose Pepsi--they all like Coke! I can tell a taste difference; everyone tells me Pepsi is sweeter, but I think Coke (especially after the New Coke fiasco!) has a weird aftertaste. Where I'm from (NJ), people just ask for a 'Coke', regardless of what they are served; I specifically ask for Pepsi and if they don't have it, I'll order rootbeer, gingerale or orange soda. So what do you prefer?

I also am from NJ and I ask "do you have pepsi or coke" if they respond pepsi that is what I order if they say coke I am quick to ask for sprite. LOL usually they laugh. some are surprised I ask But there is a real difference between coke and pepsi and pepsi is better hands down. Yes I remember the pepsi challenge and we my mom, sister and I all prefereed pepsi. LOL Then we found out by accident we even had a dog who preffered pepsi. He would hear the word pepsi and come running. He was TALL big dog so he started to drink out of my glass one day, and trust me I let him have it after that LOL Then decided to put the dog to the test, I put 4 bowls on the floor one with pepsi, one with coke, one with RC cola, and one with diet pepsi. He sniffed them all but would only drink the pepsi, wouldn't even drink the diet pepsi. I just don't get how folks can drink coke, I agree he has a taste that lingers and is not good. Even pepsi clear {I think it was called crytal pepsi or some thing like that}was better than coke in any form.

Yes I remember the pepsi challange, and I am from a family of pepsi drinkers, coke is definately sweeter with a strange aftertaste. my mom is a pepsiholic, and I think I may be close to gettin there myself, my kids know not to drink the last of mom's pepsi or things are not real happy, I have to have one when I get home from work, oh no, i must be addicted, oh well there are worse things to be addicted to.
