We are going camping this weekend!

I can't wait. We will be going to Natchez State Park in Mississippi for the first time this weekend. The campground is gorgeous with lots of trees and wooded areas. It also has a huge lake surrounding it. We will be able to get the kayaks out and cruise on the lake and get a little sun!
Has anyone ever been to this park? Do you like it?

You will have a wonderful time. Camping is great fun I dont know the park you are referring to, being an Aussie, but any park with trees & a lake sounds great to me.
We own two tents & go camping about once each year. We try to find nice locations that are suitable for kids. Last year we went camping at Port Hughes which was right next to the beach.

I have never been to the park you are going to but it really sounds beautiful...We have been to other parks and i do like to go camping.We have not been in a long time but we have all the equipment we need to go..Hopefully before summer is over we plan to go...I do hope you all have a wonderful weekend....

I won't be going camping for a couple more months yet, because we still have lots of snow here in Calgary and it is still too cold out to go. We are having a snow blizzard right now and it is supposed to snow until tuesday night, so there won't be no camping around here for another month or more. Here in Alberta people don't usually go camping till about mid June as you never know when it is going to snow. We have had snow as late as the end of May and sometimes even in June and July, but never much then.
