Anyone else's council going through a realignment? How is it work out so far? Do you see it as a positive or just more problems?

Ours has not realigned yet. We opted to wait. We will join this year with 2 other councils. We have not been told what we will become yet. I am sure there will be problems, but the council rep that came and talked to us about it was very optimistic about all the 'good' that would come from it.

Yeah, I don't see too many problems so far. There was a scare that some of our favorite people would not have their jobs anymore at council but, it turned out fine in the end. I have to say that I liked having a smaller coucil. It's easier to communicate and events can be more personal.

We will have to see how it goes this year. We have been having a lot of trouble in our area, and am afraid it will get worse with the realignment. We live right in the middle between 2 of the councils that will be together. I am not sure of where the third one is located, but I am sure there will be more for us to do by way of council events. i think they will have more closer to home and we might actually get to do more events! That would be GREAT! One bad think, cookie prices. Ours are still $3.25 and the other council have been selling theirs for $3.50 for 2 years now. It means we will have to go up in price. It was good for us because a lot of people here were buying them from the other council until they found out ours were 25 cent cheaper.

yeah, up in NY where I lived before I think cookies were only $3. Here in Pittsburgh, they are $3.50 and they have been that way for AT LEAST 3 yrs if not more. I sure hope they don't go up again. No one has mentioned that..hmmm....
