Do you feel pressured to work from home?

As a stay at home mom, I sometimes get the impression online that everyone wants me to join some kind of business. When did it become unpopular to just take care of your kids? Don't get me wrong, I understand some at home parents need to earn an income to survive. However, I wish they would remember not everyone has the personality or for that matter wants to be in the sales profession. Let's face it all businesses do involve sales of some type (getting customers/clients/businesses etc). Is it just me or does anyone else get this feeling?

I understand where you are coming from hun, i work from home but that is because i have to work, as a single mother if i didnt work we would have hardly any money only that from the government and i want my children to have all the things that others have, just becuase their dad doesnt care or support them it shouldnt mean they have to go without. so that is my reason for working, and i think that working from home is great for some1 in my situation i work as a chat mod for an online bingo company so i dont have to get into sales etc and i work for a company so am an employee so have no self employed tax etc to worry about either. I would love not to work but i do work in the evening when the children are in bed so it doesnt affect my time with them.

I know what you mean I have tryed the stay at home jobs and they never work for me because you have to invest money into them since they usually are you starting your own business. I dont get why people come down on stay at home moms like were worthless cause isnt that what most moms have done in the past? my moms never worked, We work enough 24/7 and dont get breaks and dont get payed. if thats not work I dont know what is. only its worse then work cause theres no money lol.
