Just cleaned my bedroom

Ugh, I swear, when we moved into our home, my husband set up only one tv. That was in our bedroom. The girls hang out in our room because of this. It is no big deal, but, our bedroom goes from Clean to dirty in under 60 seconds flat and it can be extremely annoying. I finally, after a week of seeing just our room looking like the state dump, picked up all the clothes, toys, GARBAGE, like old popsicle sticks, a bunch of colored on paper, bandaid wrappers, fruit rollup wrappers, shoes, tons of toys. It is just disgusting. Well I feel better now, I picked it all up, vaccuumed, it did not take me long but I am so happy it is done now. HOpefully I can keep it like this for even just 6 hours....Is that the saddest thing you ever heard?

I hate to say it but I'd forbid anyone in my room till they could learn to pick up after themselves. It's terrible that they trash your room that way. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

yeah, I know that I hsould do that but how do you do that ??? It is just difficult for me plus my kids are 4 and 2. Although we are going to be moving our tv that we have in the basement into the living room, so that will end that having only one tv.... I just cleaned my bedroom again and it was much easier to clean. THANK GOODNESS

Haha that's funny! I think you should give the room a quick clean up every evening/morning just once a day. That will prevent you having to do huge clean ups periodically. But just remember- the time ypou spend with your daughters is precious and is definitely worth the garbage and mess!

You are so right, I do, I try to do what I can each day, but yes spending time with my kids knowing that my house is really messy right now, is okay. I know that when I get older and the girls get older there will be plenty of time to do the cleaning and have the house nice and clean at all times! Thanks

I would be moving that tv into the living room. I need to have a space that the kids don't totally distroy and for me that's my bedroom. My daughter has even invaded my office/scrapbooking studio. But that's okay because she loves to work in her with me on her projects.

yes they also come into that room of mine too, they do play in their room too though so that is helpful now that they are getting older. Part of my problem is also that we have more stuff than our house really can even hold. So I am in process of getting a bunch of stuff OUT of here.

Because it is too big for the living room currently and when we moved in my hubby specifically stuck it in here with the satelite and everything assuming that very soon after we would have the living room tv done. Well we were saving up to get a tv for the living room but then he lost his job so we are on hold for that again.
