rice shortage or a mere news hoax?

the news say that the Philippines is experiencing rice shortage now. however, it is my opinion that it is merely a ploy so people could forget LOzada who testified that the government is involved in a ZET scam. what do you think? the government could really be resourceful and intelligent in doing so.

Hello, rexiemay! I don't know exactly what is the situation in Philippines but it is true that the world is experiencing food shortage.the process has started from 2005 and this year the situation has aggravated.the price of food stuff has been mounting everywhere during the last couple of months which has caused panic among the lower and middle class people.however,i must say that the governments of all countries should take up adequate measures to curb price rise and ensure supply of food articles to the people so that there will be no starvation deaths.the government of India has initiated strong measures for arresting price hike.thank you.

wow, never heard of that news buzz before. but come to think of it, if rice shortage is really happening it IS a bigger issue than the ZTE Scandal (do I have the correct name of the company?). Anyway, posing up a good question gives me an idea for a new discussion. Coming back to what you have initiated, I think that incidentally, the crisis we are currently experiencing now collided with the issue of Lozada. But yup, I do think this is a cover up made by the government. In this way, they could think up of another bill to pass to save their arses off the case. Witty it seems, but people do not tend to forget it easily. I know there are still people out there fighting for this issue and I hope the the best of luck. Btw, I'm a Filipino too.
