I am not talking about a cheap blog. I am talking about the real thing... with bells on it. I am offering to the lucky winner a free forum... phpbb3. I will set it up, host it and develop it as we go along. phpbb has just released a new version of its phpbb2 forums. The new version is phpbb3... I will choose the winner in 10 days time by giving him/her best answer. Requirements to win... You need to tell me why you want a forum... and what will be the main subject of discussion. You need to have a good understanding of computers and the internet. If you have already built a website or a blog... it will be a plus in your favor. I will be there to help you... but not 24 hours a day. I expect you to learn... and learn fast. How do you plan to bring members to your forum? phpbb3 seem to have been improved to be compatible with the search engines... which would be great to attract new members to it. But you will still need members to get it started. The search engines won't list it until you have some good content. A forum is a lot of work. The more members... the more work... as you need to become a moderator. How many hours a day can you spend on your forum? What will you call your forum? I need a name so that I can set it up under that name. Your web address will be... http://yourname.aussies-online.com I have just moved aussies-online back on a US server. So your forum will be in the US... not in Australia. If you think of anything else you want to tell me after answering my question... just add a comment to your answer. Why am I doing this? I need a new hobby.

I was very familiar with phpBB2 because I learned to edit the whole thing to make it my own design. And believe me... it was a heck of a lot of work to edit it. But it worked. They have changed a lot of things in phpBB3 and I never got around to get into it because I gave up on the idea of having my own forum. But if you go on the phpBB forum... you will find all the information you could possibly need to do whatever you want.

Yes, personally I've been dreaming to start my own forum. It is quite interesting and fulfilling, but right now I don't know how to make it, I am worry that it costs too much and I have no money to support the program. I would be glad to start a forum about lifestyle, or about Royalty and healthy living.

It's funny I was practically thinking of having my own forum just a few days ago. But I haven't decided yet what it will be about. I know it requires a careful planning. I've been thinking about it for a week now. I've got the time and willingness to do it but right now I just don't have the talent or the skill yet.
