loving someone who can't love you back

As they say.. loving someone who can't love you back is like being 50-50 comatose in a hospital. YOu are comfortably lying but unconsciously bleeding. Softly sleeping but silently hurting. Continuously breathing yet slowly dying.
Do you agree in this thought? Have you ever done such thing? Well, me.. yeah I did some years ago and it was really very hard that I eventually gave up. Because I think, if I never did, I would lose all of me. My friends kept on telling me that I could find another love but not another ME. So I needed to give up on the damn love thing to save myself.

its very hard though it is only ourselves that can help us.. i think its enough to show to someone how much you love him/her. its up to you if you'll continuing loving that someone even if he/she can't love you in return. well, in that case, it would be unconditional love, you're not expecting him/her to give what you've given him/her. but practically speaking, after showing how much he/she meant to you but he/she still don't feel the same, better yet find another person who deserves you.

Hi banunche! I would say that you are very lucky to have someone who loves you. For me, it is one of the most wonderful things in life and that you should always thank for. It is not everyday in our lives that we meet someone whom we will love and who will choose to love us too in the same amount or even more than the kind of love that we show. Cheers!

mate, i am currently in a situation like you did years ago... i am loving her and still continuously believing that sometime, someday... i can have her on my arms..
i've been thinking to give up on her but my heart tells me not... i'm bleeding so badly... but i just CAN'T give up... not now, never..

Yes I am agree with you dear ....Loving someone who doesn't love you is very hard .....
I am also doing same things these days ....and so i can understand the feelings of this condition ......

Hi sincere4frdship! I am so glad to know someone whom I share same sentiments with. Life is really like that. Pain is experienced when we choose to love someone. Loving someone could be so wonderful yet so painful. It is because with the greatest love, comes the deepest hurt. Thus, we should always be cautious in love so that we will not be encountering same heartaches. We love, get hurt, and learn before giving our heart again to someone. ("v")

I have never been there but it seems so hard and really torturing. I wish I will never get into that and I will try to avoid it.

Hello goergineo! It is so nice to know that you haven't tried this kind of pain. I would say that you are so lucky when it comes to love. We all have different lives since we are all unique. And good for you cause you haven't been into this kind of pain. Yet I never blame God for letting me experience such thing. I believe that He loves me so much. Maybe it just happened for a reason and that reason might be to make me a better person like what I am today. May you have a good life too!

Very well said jingyuesi! Giving up on something especially on the love that you have always wanted is never easy. Yet sometimes, giving it up is the best way to save ourselves from much pain. We should just always bear in mind that God will never leave us empty. If we lost something, that means something better is yet to come. And that is what I am counting on. I may be loveless at recent times yet I still believe that my prince charming is yet to come.

I agree it's a painful situation but loving someone is always worth the trouble. Even if it's an unrequited love, you have loved and that is what it's all about. Not how much you are loved, but how much you love. Keep loving and one day you may find someone who loves you back. It's worth the risk.

oh my.. its so depressing... it really is hard not to have the love of your life love you back...

These are such hurtful words, but are true.. its hard making someone love you...

Dear friend,
I had tasted that pain and even continuing it as my daughter started disliking me whom I love more than words. This happened after the person I married deserted me and finally I had to go to court to see my daughter who is disliking me. That is really unbearable for me.

I have been in 'lust' before and it not been reciprocated - I'm not sure if it's actually possible to be 'in love' with someone who doesn't love you back - surely to be in love, that person should love you back? Or is this a very simplistic way of looking at it?
It is heartbreaking when you do care for someone who does't think of you in that way. I am off men for a while I think.
